From November 18-20, the Traffic Safety Committee of Hai Duong province organized delegations to visit and present 19 gifts (each worth 2 million VND) to traffic accident victims being treated at the Provincial General Hospital; families of people injured or killed in traffic accidents in Thanh Mien, Ninh Giang, Tu Ky, Gia Loc, Cam Giang, Thanh Ha, Binh Giang districts and Hai Duong city.
Representatives of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee shared the pain and loss, and encouraged the families of victims who died in traffic accidents to overcome the pain and stabilize their lives. They requested local authorities and organizations to pay attention to and help the families of traffic accident victims.
Localities need to strengthen propaganda to raise awareness of strict compliance with traffic safety laws and regulations, build a traffic culture to minimize damage to people and property caused by traffic accidents, and protect the peace and happiness of each family.
Visiting the victims being treated at the Provincial General Hospital, representatives of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee kindly asked about the victims' health and encouraged them to actively seek treatment to recover soon after the accident.
It is expected that on November 21, the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee will continue to visit and present 8 gifts to families of victims injured or killed in traffic accidents in Kim Thanh, Nam Sach districts, Kinh Mon town and Chi Linh city.
On this occasion, the Traffic Safety Committees of districts, towns and cities also organized visits and presented gifts to injured victims and families of victims who died in traffic accidents. Each locality presented 3-5 gifts. Localities increased propaganda activities, disseminated the purpose and meaning of the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, and promoted awareness of compliance with traffic laws and order in the area.
The Provincial Traffic Safety Committee has distributed 480 banners and slogans to the Traffic Safety Committees of districts, towns and cities for localities to hang at the headquarters of agencies, units, main roads, and propagate with the following contents: "If you drink alcohol, do not drive"; "Remember those who leave, for those who stay"; "Obey the speed limit, one second fast, a lifetime slow"; "Drive in the right lane, safe, smooth"; "Put a helmet on your child, complete parental love"...
Since 2005, the United Nations has chosen the third Sunday of November every year as the “World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims”. On this day, the world pays tribute to the victims who have died in road accidents.
