On March 17, the Hai Ba Trung District Construction Investment Project Management Board - the investor, organized a groundbreaking ceremony to renovate and beautify the sidewalks of Le Duan Street, the gate and fence of Thong Nhat Park. It is known that the project has a total investment of more than 14 billion VND. The package will be implemented within 6 months to be completed in time for the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975). Photo: Quoc Thanh. The renovation project includes: Removing the old block brick layer and replacing it with a natural stone layer on the sidewalk; lowering the fence; installing a lighting system (including a system of lamp posts 17m, 2m and 1.2m high), and renovating the drainage ditches adjacent to the road. According to Mr. Nguyen Anh Duc (42 years old, living in Kham Thien, Dong Da, Hanoi), removing the fence will help expand the view from Le Duan Street into the park, creating a closer feeling, thereby making the park space more airy and beautiful.
