Hanoi FC stops borrowing Dinh Bac, citing 'inappropriate' reason

Hanoi FC's homepage announced that it has stopped borrowing midfielder Nguyen Dinh Bac. This player will return to Quang Nam Club instead of moving to the Capital team as previously announced.

" As reported a few days ago, Hanoi FC added player Nguyen Dinh Dac from Quang Nam Club from phase II of the 2023/24 season under a 1.5-year loan contract ," Hanoi FC's homepage stated.

" Player Nguyen Dinh Bac started moving to and training with the Capital team since the 13th round of V.League 2023/24. However, during the direct working process in the past few days, the board of directors found that player Nguyen Dinh Bac was not suitable for the team.

Therefore, Hanoi FC decided to stop borrowing player Nguyen Dinh Bac according to the original agreement and the player will return to play for Quang Nam Club ."

Dinh Bac did not come to Hanoi FC as planned.

Previously, according to VTC News' investigation, Dinh Bac and his representative proposed some difficult terms that Hanoi FC did not immediately agree to. The two sides could not find common ground.

Nguyen Dinh Bac is a talented young striker of Vietnamese football. He made a great leap forward in 2023 when he became the top scorer of the National First Division - helping Quang Nam Club win the right to play in the V.League. He scored for U23 Vietnam in the U23 Asian qualifiers. Dinh Bac continued to score in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers and the 2023 Asian Cup.

Recently, Dinh Bac was internally disciplined by Quang Nam Club for violating the team's regulations. This player joined the team after Tet 1 day later than expected and could not give a valid reason.

Coach Van Sy Son revealed that Dinh Bac had violated regulations many times since the 2023 U20 Asian Cup. In the 2023 First Division season, Dinh Bac was also disciplined once.

Dinh Bac returned in round 12 when Quang Nam met Quy Nhon Binh Dinh. In round 13, Bac sat on the bench in the away match against Hanoi FC but did not enter the field.

Dinh Bac will join the Vietnam national team to prepare for two matches against Indonesia this March in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
