Strengthen information and propaganda

Deputy Secretary in charge of the Provincial Youth Union Vo Tuan Thong said: "The top content in the plan to implement the emulation movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Ben Tre province in 2025" of the Provincial Youth Union Executive Committee is to increase information, propagate the purpose, meaning and objectives of the emulation movement to a large number of union members and young people through the activities of the Youth Union Branches, Associations, Clubs, Teams, Groups, through electronic information pages such as Zalo, Facebook of the Youth Union, Associations, Teams at all levels, Zalo OA channel, Ben Tre Youth Fanpage, Vietnam Youth Union of Ben Tre province, mass media with diverse and rich content to mobilize maximum resources among union members, youth and the masses to join hands to support the construction and elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses".

Fundraising, support for working days

The Provincial Youth Union Executive Committee launched a campaign among cadres, union members, and youth at the unit to actively participate in contributing and supporting funds, prioritizing mobilized resources to carry out the emulation movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for union members, youth, and policy families in the locality.

At the same time, send an open letter to support the emulation movement to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses to organizations, agencies, units, localities, individuals and businesses that have been working together to implement social security programs in the locality for many years to mobilize resources to carry out the movement.

Coordinate with local departments and organizations to mobilize relatives, family members, and communities to support land for housing construction for landless households when funding is available.

Youth of Phuoc My Trung town, Mo Cay Bac supported Mrs. Tran Thi Hoa's family, living in Thanh Hoa neighborhood, to move furniture and prepare to start building a new house.

It is known that during Youth Month alone (March 2025), all levels of the Youth Union mobilized socialized funds to build 26 houses, with a total value of 1.5 billion VND.

The Provincial Youth Union requires: 100% of the Youth Unions of communes, wards and towns in the province continue to maintain and strengthen the Youth Shock Brigade, ensuring that there are at least 15 permanent members and youth to support working days, transport construction materials, and clean up and hand over the site to carry out the demolition of temporary and dilapidated houses.

Help Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan's family, Vinh Dien hamlet, Vang Quoi Tay commune, Binh Dai district, put up rafters and roof the house.

Performance evaluation

According to the Provincial Youth Union, through screening, the total number of households headed by young people with temporary or dilapidated houses needing support to build new houses in districts and cities is 30 and repair 5 houses.

Deputy Secretary in charge of the Provincial Youth Union Vo Tuan Thong shared: “Following the direction of the Provincial Party Secretary, we strive to complete the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for meritorious people, poor households, near-poor households and households in difficult circumstances who are living in temporary and dilapidated houses and cannot afford to build new ones or repair them by June 2025. Thereby, creating conditions for people to have safe and stable housing that can withstand the impacts of natural disasters, contributing to improving the quality of life and sustainable poverty reduction, and making achievements to welcome party congresses at all levels.”

Youth of Tan Hoi commune, Mo Cay Nam district supported the construction of Mr. Phan Van Bui's house in Hoi Thanh hamlet. Mr. Bui's family is a near-poor household with housing difficulties.

The Provincial Youth Union also proposed to strengthen inspection and supervision of the mobilization, support and progress of the emulation movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, ensuring that the support is objective, public, transparent, for the right purpose, and for the right subjects according to regulations, avoiding loss and negativity, ensuring that poor and near-poor households have quality housing according to regulations after receiving support.
