Announcing the decision to audit the local budget in 2024 of Ben Tre province

Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Truc Son requested provincial agencies and units to provide complete information and documents as requested by the audit team.

Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Truc Son, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Le Van Khe, Chief Auditor of State Audit Region IX Truong Duc Thanh chaired the conference.

At the conference, State Audit Office Region IX approved Decision No. 467/QD-KTNN on auditing the local budget in 2024 of Ben Tre province; and Decision 468/QD-KTNN on auditing construction activities and management and use of investment capital for the Phu Thuan Industrial Park Infrastructure Construction Investment Project, Binh Dai District, Ben Tre Province.

Audit contents include: Management and use of budget revenues and expenditures, state money and assets; compliance with laws, policies, financial management regimes, accounting regimes and state investment and construction regimes.

For projects, confirm the truthfulness and reasonableness of financial data (investment capital sources and investment implementation costs) of the project; evaluate compliance with the law, economic efficiency, and effectiveness in management and use of public finance and public assets.

Audit scope: Budget year 2024 and related previous and subsequent periods of the audited units.

For projects: From project implementation to March 31, 2025 and related periods before and after.

The audit period is 44 days from the date of announcement of the Audit Decision.

Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Truc Son affirmed: Over the past years, the State Audit has supported the province in building and operating the local budget effectively. Through the audit conclusions, it helps state management agencies see the advantages, limitations, and shortcomings in budget management in the area, thereby finding solutions to promote the advantages, at the same time overcome the limitations, and improve the effectiveness of budget management in the province.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directed the units with audited contents to strictly comply with the decision of the State Audit, arrange professional staff to work with the audit team; provide full records and documents to serve the audit team.

State Auditor General of Region IX Truong Duc Thanh speaks.

On behalf of the State Audit, Chief Auditor of State Audit Region IX Truong Duc Thanh requested relevant units to closely coordinate with the audit team, fully and promptly provide necessary documents and information; and create favorable conditions for the team to complete its tasks according to the set plan.

The audit team strictly implemented regulations, worked impartially and objectively, and did not cause trouble for departments, branches, districts, cities, and audited units.
