Visiting Thai businesses on the occasion of Songkran traditional New Year

The delegation visited and wished a Happy New Year to CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company - Aquatic Feed Processing Factory Branch; CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company - Ben Tre Frozen Branch; CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company - Biotechnology Branch, in An Hiep Industrial Park, Chau Thanh District, Ben Tre Province.

At the destinations, the delegation listened to representatives of business leaders quickly inform about the situation and results achieved in production and business activities in the past time, and development orientation in the coming time.

On behalf of the delegation, Vice President of the Union of Friendship Organizations of Ben Tre Province Tran Thi Bich Van sent greetings and best wishes to the leaders and staff of the enterprises on the occasion of Songkran. Songkran is the traditional Thai New Year. Songkran is celebrated on the first day of the Buddhist year (corresponding to April 13-15 in the Gregorian calendar) to welcome the new year.

This is the time when Thai people pay respect to Buddha, clean their houses, and splash water on the elderly to show their respect. During the festival, many parades and beauty contests are held.

In addition, Thai people also cook traditional dishes and wear colorful costumes. Especially, during Songkran, people will splash water on each other, the more water is splashed on the person, the luckier they are.
