Contribute to promoting the image and people of Tuy Phong

Last weekend, nearly 600 athletes competed in the 2nd Tuy Phong District Half Marathon in 2024. In addition to athletes from agencies, units, and localities in the district, this tournament attracted 160 athletes from clubs and localities outside the district, along with hundreds of fans.

The 2nd Tuy Phong District Half Marathon 2024 has truly become a professional playground for athletes to compete. The tournament is held on the coastal route of Binh Thanh - Chi Cong - Phan Ri Cua, associated with many famous landmarks and beautiful landscapes of Tuy Phong district such as: Co Thach Pagoda, seven-color stone beach, Ganh Son Chi Cong, Hung Vuong Temple Phan Ri Cua, contributing to promoting the image and people of the sunny and windy land of Tuy Phong.

The 2nd Tuy Phong Half Marathon in 2024 will still be held in two distances, 21 km and 7 km, for both men and women. Accordingly, at the 21 km distance, athletes will start at the welcome gate of Binh Thanh tourist area, run along the coastal route through Chi Cong commune, Hoa Minh commune and finish at the Phan Ri Cua town cultural and sports center. As for the 7 km distance, athletes will start at Chi Cong kindergarten and finish at the Phan Ri Cua town cultural and sports center.

For athlete Nguyen Thi Thanh Tuyen from Hoa Minh commune, she competed in the 21 km event. As a local, Tuyen said she was very happy to compete in the half marathon organized by her district and excellently finished in first place. Through the tournament, Tuyen hopes to promote the famous tourist destinations of Tuy Phong district to friends inside and outside the locality. From there, there will be more tourists coming to visit and relax. As for Nguyen Van Chinh, an athlete from Ham Thuan Nam district, who won first place in the men's 21 km event, he said: It was quite a surprise for him to participate in the tournament for the first time because the coastal running route was very open and passed through many areas with beautiful seascapes, so he was very excited.

The 2nd Tuy Phong District Half Marathon 2024 was highly appreciated by athletes for its organization. The motorcycle guides and referees were very professional, the water stations at the stages were arranged reasonably, the finish line had a free kitchen serving food and drinks to the athletes and supporters. At this tournament, the Organizing Committee also awarded shirts and medals to the athletes who finished in the top 30 of each category. After all the efforts and sweat, the athletes finished in the cheers of their relatives and supporters, bringing beautiful moments in sports, leaving in the hearts of each athlete and supporter interesting, joyful and excited emotions.
