Getting acquainted with livestream sales since November 2023, Ms. Le Huyen Thanh (Bac Giang province) said that for small businesses, livestream is an effective sales channel. Through live broadcasts, sellers can reach a large number of customers, many times more than posting or running ads.
From the pressure of surpassing yourself…
From this form of sales, a series of "live" sessions and "gods" of online sales continuously appear, with record sales. The effectiveness of business and product promotion of the livestream sales form is undeniable.
However, for those who are engaging in this form of sales, there are many dark corners behind each livestream session. "Sitting and talking for hours in front of the phone screen, with little or no "viewers", or viewers leaving many negative comments...
That is the situation that a new livestreamer like me has to face when starting to get acquainted with this form of sales. The livestream form is encouraged by many social networking platforms, the more livestreaming, the more opportunities there are to be recommended and suggested so that more people know about it.
The opportunity to sell is therefore also higher. Many times, even though I am tired or sick, I still do not dare to rest, I have to regularly livestream 3-4 times a week. What story to tell, how to interact... all have their own pressure," Ms. Nguyen Ngoc (in Hanoi) shared.
"Currently, there are many platforms that allow livestreaming to sell products. However, each livestream platform has a different algorithm. It's not that you can just have goods and products and sit in front of your phone to sell them, but you also have to spend a lot of time learning, even taking courses about the platform and livestreaming to reach viewers and have the opportunity to increase revenue.

To attract customers, livestreams must have unique features. You don't necessarily have to be beautiful or gorgeous, but you must bring value to retain viewers among the "forest of live streams" being broadcast on social networks," said Ms. Hanh Nguyen, administrator of an online sales training group.
…to the "problem" of product quality
Goods, products, services… are the “soul” of each livestream session. Sellers can live stream the sale of products they make or are partners, livestream to sell other people’s products and need to control the quality of the products they sell.
However, the current online sales environment has many loopholes for poor quality goods, counterfeit goods, fake goods, and goods of unknown origin to be sold everywhere. "To sell successfully, you need to really understand the source of goods, the quality of goods and be honest with customers," Ms. Hanh Nguyen emphasized.
Besides the challenge of checking the quality of goods and services, fake orders and "bombs" of goods are also concerns of online sellers. Orders that are placed and then canceled, or delivered without recipients... not only reduce revenue but also affect the reputation and time of the seller.
According to statistics from some platforms, the rate of "bombing" products currently fluctuates from 20% to 30%. This is a very noteworthy figure for those who livestream to sell products to have appropriate solutions, avoiding negative impacts on their business performance.
