Bloomberg reported that US President Joe Biden is trying to maximize support for Kiev during his remaining time as head of state, before President-elect Donald Trump officially takes office at the end of January next year.

According to Bloomberg , the above intention explains Mr. Biden's recent decisions regarding Ukraine, including authorizing the use of long-range weapons and approving the sending of anti-personnel mines.
However, the news agency admitted that President Biden's options are very limited, because most of the remaining money for Kiev can only be used for weapons available in the Pentagon's inventory. Therefore, the US cannot allocate too much, otherwise it will endanger the defense capabilities of the "Land of the Stars and Stripes".
Bloomberg revealed that the Biden administration has considered the possibility of publicly calling for a formal invitation for Ukraine to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), but admitted that the possibility of success of this proposal is too low.
Instead, the current Washington administration is considering a number of bilateral agreements with Kiev in the security sphere.
Russia claims that supplying weapons to Ukraine hinders efforts to resolve the conflict and directly draws NATO member states into the conflict.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said any shipment of weapons destined for Kiev would become a legitimate target for Moscow.
According to Mr. Lavrov, the US and NATO are directly involved in the Ukrainian conflict, not only through supplying weapons but also training personnel in the UK, Germany, Italy and other countries. The Kremlin stated that the West's pumping of weapons into Ukraine does not contribute to promoting negotiations.
