Rice prices today, March 11, in the Mekong Delta region continue to move sideways.

In the rice market, in localities such as An Giang, Tien Giang, Dong Thap, raw rice prices in Sa Dec are being bought regularly by warehouses, with prices rising compared to yesterday. In Tan Hiep (Kien Giang), factories are buying from many customers and traders. In Sa Dec, market rice channels are buying regularly, with prices of all types of raw materials remaining stable. Some boats of good rice are sailing to Cai Be to sell at high prices.

In An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang), the price of OM 18 raw rice is at 12,500 - 12,600 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice is at 12,900 - 13,000 VND/kg; OM 5451 raw rice fluctuates around 11,900 - 12,000 VND/kg; OM 380 is at 11,500 - 11,700 VND/kg; Japanese raw rice is at 12,700 - 12,800 VND/kg; ST 21 raw rice is at 14,000 - 14,100 VND/kg; ST 24 raw rice is at 14,500 - 14,700 VND/kg.

Rice prices remain stable today

In Sa Dec (Dong Thap), the price of fragrant rice is 12,000 - 12,100 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice fluctuates around 11,400 - 11,600 VND/kg; IR 504 rice is at 11,300 - 11,500 VND/kg; OM 380 is at 11,900 - 12,200 VND/kg; RVT is at 12,700 - 13,200 VND/kg.

In the rice market, in the Mekong Delta provinces such as An Giang, Dong Thap, Bac Lieu, Can Tho, Tien Giang... the average price of fresh rice purchased at the field is at 7,300 - 8,200 VND/kg.

New rice trading was active at the beginning of the week, with many traders and customers asking to buy rice cut at the end of March.

Specifically, according to the update of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province, IR 504 rice is at 7,300 - 7,500 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice is at 7,400 - 7,500 VND/kg; Long An fresh sticky rice fluctuates around 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg; 3-month fresh sticky rice is at 7,900 - 8,200 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice fluctuates around 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa 9 rice fluctuates at 7,500 - 7,700 VND/kg; OM 18 rice is at 7,600 - 7,800 VND/kg; and Nhat rice is 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg.

At retail markets, rice prices remained stable. Accordingly, the price of regular rice fluctuated around 14,000 - 15,000 VND/kg; Jasmine rice 17,000 - 18,000 VND/kg; Nang Nhen rice 26,000 VND/kg; long-grain fragrant rice 19,000 - 20,000 VND/kg; Huong jasmine rice 21,000 VND/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice 20,000 VND/kg.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices remained stable today. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), 5% broken rice was at $579/ton; 25% broken rice was at $557/ton; and 100% broken rice was stable at $478/ton.
