The price of SJC gold was listed by Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) at 81.8 million VND/tael for buying and 83.8 million VND/tael for selling, unchanged in both buying and selling compared to the previous trading session. The difference between the buying and selling prices is 2.0 million VND.
The price of 9999 gold today is listed by DOJI at 82.4 million VND/tael for buying and 84.4 million VND/tael for selling, unchanged in both buying and selling directions compared to the previous session. The difference between the buying price and selling price is 2.0 million VND.
At Mi Hong Jewelry Company, the price of Mi Hong gold at the time of survey was listed at VND84.2-85 million/tael for buying and selling. PNJ gold was listed at VND82.4 million/tael for buying and VND84.4 million/tael for selling, unchanged for both buying and selling compared to the previous session.
Bao Tin Minh Chau and Bao Tin Manh Hai gold prices were both traded by businesses at 82.4 million VND/tael for buying and 84.4 million VND/tael for selling, unchanged in both buying and selling directions compared to the previous session's close.

Regarding domestic gold ring prices at businesses, there are fluctuations. The price of SJC 9999 gold rings is currently listed at 81.8 million VND/tael for buying and 83.6 million VND/tael for selling, unchanged from yesterday morning's trading session.
At DOJI, the price of gold rings in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City increased by 150,000 VND for buying and 650,000 VND for selling, to 82.9 million VND/tael for buying and 84.4 million VND/tael for selling.
At Bao Tin Minh Chau, the price of plain round gold rings is listed at 82.7 million VND/tael for buying and 84.4 million VND/tael for selling, an increase of 400,000 VND for buying and 600,000 VND for selling.
PNJ's ring gold price is listed at VND83.4 million/tael for buying and VND84.4 million/tael for selling, up VND600,000 and VND650,000 respectively compared to yesterday morning. At Phu Quy SJC, ring gold is currently priced at VND82.9 million/tael for buying and VND84.4 million/tael for selling, up VND300,000 for buying and VND600,000 for selling.
Thus, the domestic gold price today continues to increase, with the price of gold bars simultaneously surpassing the 84 million VND/tael mark and the selling price of gold rings reaching 84.4 million VND/tael.
With the domestic gold bar price increasing sharply and the world gold price remaining at 2,623.4 USD/ounce in today's session (December 22), equivalent to about 80.7 million VND/tael according to Vietcombank exchange rate, excluding taxes and fees, the price difference between the domestic and international markets is about 3.7 million VND/tael.

Despite ending the week in the red, global gold prices still held important support around $2,600/ounce, even after the Federal Reserve (Fed) signaled it would slow down the pace of interest rate cuts in 2025.
Last week, the Fed officially cut interest rates by another 0.25% to a range of 4.25% - 4.5%. The Fed expects to cut interest rates a total of 0.5% by the end of 2025 due to a strong labor market and slowing inflation.
According to the US report, the personal consumption expenditures (PCE) price index in November increased by only 0.1% compared to the previous month and increased by 2.4% compared to the same period last year. Excluding food and energy, the core PCE index also increased by 0.1% compared to the previous month and increased by 2.8% compared to the same period last year.
Chicago Fed President Austan Goolsbee said the latest inflation data provided optimism, adding that interest rates could still fall next year despite the Fed's cautious stance.
Analysts note that gold could face challenges in this environment and year-end holiday trading.
