Up to this point, the Department of Home Affairs of Can Tho City has received 269 cases of officials, civil servants and public employees of the city applying for early retirement and resignation.
Speaking with VietNamNet reporters this afternoon (February 17), Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Can Tho City Chau Viet Tha said that up to this point, the Department has received 269 cases of "registration for early retirement and resignation".
According to the Department Director, in the coming time, the number of city officials, civil servants and public employees applying for early retirement and quitting their jobs will increase significantly.
“The Department of Home Affairs is receiving, compiling the list and classifying, reviewing each specific case before submitting it to the competent authority for consideration and decision.
Specifically, if the case is under the authority of the City Party Committee and People's Committee, the Department will submit it for the City Party Committee and People's Committee to decide; in the case of a department, the department will decide...", said Mr. Chau Viet Tha.
According to Mr. Tha, the Department's responsibility is to assess whether early retirement cases comply with regulations or not, then transfer them to competent management agencies for resolution.
