The information was given at a press conference on activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, held by the Central Steering Committee for the celebration of major holidays and important historical events of the country in the three years 2023-2025, held on the morning of April 18 in Hanoi.

Ms. Dinh Thi Mai - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission - affirmed that this is the most important and largest activity among all activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.

The program is broadcast live on VTV1 - Vietnam Television, Ho Chi Minh City Television and local radio and television stations.

The parade program, chaired by the Ministry of National Defense, includes: 4 parade blocks of the ceremonial block; 36 parade blocks; 12 parade blocks. There are expected to be parade blocks of Laos and Cambodia in the celebration.

The program consists of two parts, part one is the rally and part two is the parade.

The rally starts at 6:30 a.m. on April 30.

Before the official rally, there will be a 30-minute art program, including a gun dance by the army, a drum performance by the police, and some art performances by Ho Chi Minh City.

After the flag-raising ceremony and introduction of delegates, there were commemorative speeches by Party and State leaders, speeches by representatives of veterans, and representatives of the young generation of Vietnam.

Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Tran Thi Dieu Thuy said that the total number of central and international guests attending the ceremony was about 6,000 seats, in addition to about 10,000 standing people, including many people standing on the streets.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang added that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has received confirmation of participation from more than 20 delegations from participating countries at different levels from ministerial level and above.

Including 3 high-level delegations, 5 delegations at ministerial level or higher, 15 political parties in Asia, America, Africa, senior leaders of political parties such as general secretary or vice president of the ruling party.

In addition, more than 100 delegates representing organizations, peace movements, anti-war movements and international friends who have supported Vietnam in the past also confirmed their attendance.

Ho Chi Minh City also invited and confirmed the participation of more than 20 sister localities of the city, and many outstanding individuals abroad who have contributed to the anti-war movement.

Ms. Thuy said that the activities organized by the City include the Bac City Color Festival held from April 19 to April 30 with the highlight being the 3D Mapping art performance at the facade of the City People's Committee headquarters, combining light, sound and symphony - choral music.

In particular, on the night of April 19, 2,000 drones performed, combined with artistic fireworks to light up the city's sky, bringing a spectacular experience to the audience.

Film exhibition “Echoes of the Great Victory of Spring 1975”, with 300 precious documentary photos, community screening on the night of April 27 and 28 at Nguyen Hue - Ngo Duc Ke stage.

The special art program of National Reunification Day was held and broadcast live nationwide at the Reunification Hall, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, on the evening of April 30.

The city also coordinates with central ministries and branches to organize other attractive art programs to welcome the festival such as:

- Outdoor art program "The Country is Full of Joy" on April 20 at the Reunification Hall.

- Special concert program with the theme of Peace Symphony on the evening of April 21 at the City Theater.

- National television bridge Forever Triumphant Song on April 27 at Ho Chi Minh City bridge.

- The special art program Reunification Spring, chaired by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with Ho Chi Minh City, was held on April 29 at Saigon River Park, Thu Thiem Ward, Thu Duc City.

- A brass band performance combined with horseback riding techniques hosted by the Ministry of Public Security is scheduled to take place on April 30 at Le Loi Street and Nguyen Hue Walking Street.

In addition, on two Saturday evenings, April 19 and 26, and key days April 29 and 30, at Nguyen Hue walking street, Bach Dang Wharf - Saigon River area, districts: 1, 4, 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, Tan Phu, Binh Tan; districts: Can Gio, Nha Be and Thu Duc City.

The city also coordinated with the City Department of Tourism to organize 3 typical tours for reporters to work in the city: "Legend of the heroic Sac Forest commandos"; "Cu Chi, the land of steel and bronze: underground tunnels"; "From Mau Than to Xuan Dai Thang".
