Director of Thuong Dinh Shoe Company temporarily suspended from leaving the country

The Duy Tien - Ly Nhan Regional Tax Department (Ha Nam Provincial Tax Department) has just issued a notice on June 13 to the Immigration Department - Ministry of Public Security regarding the temporary suspension of exit for Mr. Nguyen Van Khiem (born October 5, 1972, residing in Nghia Do ward, Cau Giay district, Hanoi) - Director of Thuong Dinh Shoe Joint Stock Company.

The authorities said the reason for the temporary suspension of exit was because Mr. Khiem was the legal representative of a taxpayer, an enterprise that was being forced to execute an administrative decision on tax management and had not yet fulfilled its tax payment obligations.

On the same day, the Head of the Duy Tien - Ly Nhan Regional Tax Department also decided to enforce by withdrawing money from the account of Thuong Dinh Shoe Joint Stock Company (address: No. 277 Nguyen Trai Street, Thanh Xuan Trung Ward, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi City, tax code: 0100100939).

The reason for the enforcement is that the taxpayer owes tax for which the tax payment extension has expired, and the late payment of tax has been over 90 days since the tax payment deadline. The amount of money subject to enforcement is more than 6.5 million VND.

Thuong Dinh Shoe Joint Stock Company is a long-standing enterprise, operating mainly in the field of manufacturing, trading and exporting all kinds of footwear.

Regarding this issue, in a recent recommendation from the General Department of Taxation, the agency said that the temporary suspension of exit is a warning measure for taxpayers who owe taxes to ensure the fulfillment of tax obligations to the state budget, improving taxpayer compliance.
