According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the world oil market in this operating period (from December 7, 2023 to December 13, 2023) is affected by factors such as: US oil inventories decrease, concerns about the security situation in the Middle East that could affect oil supply from this region, countries reaching a historic agreement to start reducing global fossil fuel consumption at the COP28 conference...
The above factors have caused world oil prices to fluctuate between increases and decreases in recent days, but in general they have decreased.
The average price of finished petroleum products in the world between the price adjustment period on December 7 and the adjustment period on December 14 was: 84.544 USD/barrel of RON92 gasoline used to blend E5 RON92 gasoline (down 4.506 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 5.06% compared to the previous period); 88.544 USD/barrel of RON95 gasoline (down 4.890 USD/barrel); 99.230 USD/barrel of kerosene (down 5.678 USD/barrel); 94.824 USD/barrel of diesel oil (down 4.186 USD/barrel); 422.968 USD/ton of fuel oil (down 32.448 USD/ton).
Since the beginning of the year, gasoline prices have undergone 35 adjustments, including 19 increases, 13 decreases, and 3 unchanged.
On the world market this morning, Brent oil price was trading at 74.26 USD/barrel, up 1.02 USD/ounce compared to early this morning, while WTI oil was trading at 69.47 USD/barrel, up 0.86 USD/barrel.
Oil prices have not been able to break out as US inflation data in November increased the possibility that the Federal Reserve (Fed) will not lower interest rates early next year. This could put pressure on oil demand.
