On the afternoon of April 16, at Tu Son City Stadium, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Vietnam Football Federation and the People's Committee of Tu Son City to organize the opening ceremony of the 2025 National Second Division Football Tournament (matches in Bac Ninh).
Overview of the opening ceremony
The 2025 National Second Division will feature 15 teams from across the country, divided into two groups A and B. Bac Ninh FC is in Group A with 6 teams: Hanoi Youth, Hoai Duc, PVF-CAND Youth, PVF, Phu Tho, and Quang Ninh. This year's Second Division season will take place from April 11 to June 22, 2025, with the first leg from April 11 to May 13 and the second leg from May 21 to June 22. The teams will compete in a two-legged round robin to calculate points and rank. The four best teams will be promoted to the National First Division for the 2025/26 season, while the team with the lowest performance in the two groups will be relegated.
The National Second Division Football Tournament is an important playground, contributing to maintaining and developing the football movement in localities. At the same time, this is also a launching pad for talented young players to have the opportunity to compete, accumulate experience and gradually assert themselves on the path towards the professional level.
Bac Ninh FC and Quang Ninh play the first match of the tournament.
Right after the Opening Ceremony, the match between Bac Ninh FC and Quang Ninh took place. This was Bac Ninh FC's first home match and the second match Bac Ninh FC participated in within the framework of the tournament.
