DOJI listed the price of 9999 gold today at 85 - 87 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 400,000 VND/tael in both buying and selling compared to yesterday's closing price. The difference between the buying price and selling price is 2.0 million VND.
At Mi Hong Jewelry Company, the price of Mi Hong gold at the time of survey was listed at 85.7-86.7 million VND/tael for buying and selling. Compared to yesterday, the buying price decreased by 300,000 VND/tael and the selling price increased by 400,000 VND/tael. The difference between the buying price and the selling price is 1.0 million VND.
SJC gold price at Bao Tin Minh Chau and Bao Tin Manh Hai Co., Ltd. was also traded by businesses at 85 - 87 million VND/tael (buying - selling), an increase of 400,000 VND/tael in both buying and selling directions compared to yesterday.
The group of state-owned joint stock commercial banks (Vietcombank, Vietinbank, Agribank, BIDV) listed the price of SJC gold bars at VND87.0 million/tael, an increase of VND400,000/tael.

Gold ring price today
Similar to SJC gold bars, the price of gold rings also increased. Accordingly, Saigon Jewelry Company SJC announced the price of gold rings at 84.8 - 86.5 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 300,000 VND/tael for buying and an increase of 400,000 VND/tael for selling compared to the closing price yesterday.
At Bao Tin Minh Chau Company, the price of gold rings is at 85 - 86.55 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 50,000 VND/tael in both buying and selling directions compared to the closing price yesterday.
PNJ Company sells 99.99 plain gold rings at the same price as SJC gold bars. PNJ Company increased the buying price by 500,000 VND to 85.2 million VND and increased the selling price by 800,000 VND to 87 million VND.
Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 83 million VND/tael.

According to the latest report released by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the core consumer price index (CPI) (excluding volatile components such as food and energy) increased by 3.2% in December 2024 compared to the same period in 2023. This figure is lower than the market's expectation of a 3.3% increase.
Bart Melek, head of commodity strategy at TD Securities, said the lower-than-expected core CPI is a positive sign for gold, and that the Fed does not necessarily rule out a rate cut.
According to him, the probability of the Fed cutting interest rates in January 2025 is almost zero, but the market is pricing in several more rounds by the end of the year.
Markets now expect the Fed to cut interest rates by a total of 40 basis points by the end of this year, compared with about 31 basis points before the inflation data.
