Currently, localities, units and enterprises in the whole province have registered to develop 38 new tourism products in 2025. Among them, there are many products proposed to be developed into new products since last year but for many reasons could not be realized, so they were transferred to this year...
Ha Long is the center
The number of 38 new tourism products planned for development this year is much lower than last year but promises to be more feasible. In fact, many products that have been invested in by businesses and localities in the past have now been put into service for tourists, creating more attractiveness for destinations in the area.
Leading in quantity is still Ha Long tourism center with 9 expected new products. Of which, 3 products are on the list for the first time. Specifically, the Coffee Bus product is a service for customers to experience eating and drinking on the bus combined with sightseeing the city; renting for events, organizing tours, deployed by Vietnam Sightseeing Joint Stock Company - Quang Ninh Branch. The Hot Air Balloon Flight product serves tourists to see the city from above by hot air balloon (anchored in place) in Tuan Chau ward. The Hop on - Hop off sightseeing cruise product connects tourists to visit tourist attractions from Bai Chay to Hon Gai and vice versa.
6 products transferred from 2024 include: Nostalgic tourist spot of ferry waiting room and Bai Chay ferry route; Check-in point on Dang Ba Hat street and Dang Ba Hat hill; Ha Long Flower Park walking street; Bai Tho Mountain Cultural Area relic cluster, Duc Ong Tran Quoc Nghien temple and Long Tien pagoda are invested with additional items of campus, green square and connected to each other; embellish and expand King Le Thai To temple; manage and rearrange service activities, create a clean and beautiful landscape to serve tourists and people going to worship at Yen Lap Lake - Loi Am pagoda.
In Ha Long Bay, the Ha Long Bay Management Board plans to develop 3 new products: Public beach tourism in Soi Sim island area, Hang Co area, Trinh Nu cave area; high-class beach bathing services at small sandy beaches combined with kayaking, light parties on the sand at Ban Chan sand beach area, Tra San area; art performances combined with parties at Trong cave, Co cave, Trinh Nu cave.
This can be considered a great effort of the unit in removing obstacles, implementing the direction of the province to develop more services to increase the experience for tourists, especially those with high spending power. At the same time, it is also the desire of many tourism businesses to expand the exploitation of the number of beaches in the bay to quench the "thirst" for beaches in the summer and diversify the service system at the sandbanks and caves, meeting the needs of tourists.
Sea and island tourism products dominate
In the past two years, the island districts of Van Don and Co To have strongly developed new tourism products. This year, Van Don has registered 4 products, of which 2 are on the mainland, including: Experience the San Diu Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village in Binh Dan commune; Sonasea Van Don Habour City night market with street food from 3 regions, souvenirs and specialties of Quang Ninh, music and street art...
The remaining 2 products are all exploited at sea and Ngoc Vung island. In which, Viet Thuan Transport Company Limited exploits the 3D2N Heritage Journey connecting Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay combined with a visit to Ngoc Vung island. Ngoc Vung Island Experience Tourism Group deploys the One-day Fisherman Tour and learns about the culture and history of the island. These products all help visitors explore the island through experiences such as: Cycling on the island, visiting the mangrove forest, experiencing the beach, catching seafood and learning about the culture, history, and daily life of the islanders...
Co To District has registered to develop 5 new products, expected to operate in the second and third quarters, which are also the peak summer tourist season of this beautiful archipelago in the middle of the ocean. Specifically, this summer, Golden Co To Hotel will launch the Sua Palace Event Center, providing gala dinner, conference, seminar, birthday, year-end, wedding, and BBQ services for companies, travel agencies, and tourists with a capacity of 60 to 500 guests.
The remaining 4 products are all carried over from last year. On the big Co To island, there is the product of the Sea Sports and Entertainment Complex combined with sunset viewing at Tinh Yeu beach. This product has many water sports activities; beach bathing and relaxation services; entertainment games and group activities; culinary services... On the other islands, there are the following products: Sightseeing tour of 3 small Co To islands, Ca Chep island, Su Tu island in Dong Tien commune; overnight camping at Ba Chau beach, Thanh Lan commune; journey tour for the homeland's sea and islands in Dao Tran village.
Diverse experiences in different locations
Exploiting local advantages, many businesses and localities plan to develop a variety of unique new products this year. Not chasing quantity, many localities only register very few new products. For example, Ba Che has 1 product but carried over from last year, exploiting the Luong Minh Highland Cultural Market with typical agricultural products, cuisine with dishes bearing the unique identity of the highlands and bringing tourists to famous landscapes and scenic spots such as the reservoir of 4 highland communes, Dong Chuc communal house.
Cam Pha also registered only 1 product: Experience the double-decker bus to see the coastal road of Ha Long, Cam Pha to the following locations: Yoko Onsen Quang Hanh and Vung Duc cave, 12/11 Square and Cam Pha Coal Region Memorial House. Hai Ha registered the product of kayaking, tourist boat to visit and explore the islands of Cai Chien commune.
Dam Ha District and Uong Bi City have both registered 2 products. Dam Ha's products will be deployed in the first quarter of 2025, including Quang Lam Commune Market and "Dam Ha Xanh" Experience Journey, bringing visitors to the mangrove landscape, flower gardens, seafood cuisine, and BBQ here. Uong Bi has the Khe Song - Thac Bac tourism product with streams and waterfalls winding through the mountains and forests, giving visitors the opportunity to participate in experiential activities, picnics, stream bathing, sightseeing; check-in, mountain climbing, enjoying traditional art and unique cuisine of the local Dao Thanh Y people. The VR360 virtual reality tour product - Uong Bi Tourism promises to bring new, intuitive, and attractive tourism experiences to visitors.
At the western gateway, Dong Trieu registered 3 products: The resort complex at Ngoa Van cable car station serves tourists to visit, experience food and beverage services, resort, accommodation, check-in, organize events...; the night-time economic development model at Quang Ninh Gate tourist destination creates opportunities for tourists to visit, use services in culture, art, shopping, entertainment, sports, health care, beauty, cuisine... Besides, Silk Path Dong Trieu Golf Course is a new product transferred from last year to this year, opened in early January.
At the Mong Cai border, the locality also plans to develop 3 new tourism products. Specifically, the City tour program to visit the city shimmering with colors at night by electric car will take visitors to places such as: Xa Tac Temple, Ka Long Bridge, Mong Cai International Border Gate, Tra Co Communal House, Tra Co Church, Sa Vi Border Information Cluster, Tran Phu Walking Street and Food Street, Ka Long. Rural agricultural tourism products bring visitors to Hai Yen ward to experience visiting lakes, lagoons, fishing, picking clean vegetables, enjoying seafood, camping... And visitors who want to experience health care services and entertainment can come to Vinhomes Golden Avenue Mong Cai Urban Area in Hai Hoa ward.
The Binh Lieu border area plans to develop 4 new products. Of which, Binh Lieu Community Tourism Company Limited will deploy 2 products: Trekking through the forest for international visitors who love to experience in Dong Van commune; kayaking on the river, sightseeing on both sides of the river in the district. Hoa Binh Lieu Cooperative will deploy a sightseeing and resort product at Binh Lieu farmstay with services of sightseeing, taking photos, experiencing cuisine, and resort. The locality will deploy the Then tour - Binh Lieu product with the theme of Touching Then - a heritage recognized by UNESCO as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity, at Luc Na communal house, Luc Hon commune.
In recent years, the registration of new tourism products is mainly based on the needs of businesses, localities and units. Many products have failed to meet their deadlines due to current mechanisms and policies, lack of feasibility or slow progress, lack of attraction, waste of investment resources, etc. Therefore, it is necessary for the province to have new ways of doing things, ensuring legality and higher efficiency right from the beginning when considering and approving new tourism products this year.
