(GLO)- The Tet gift basket market in Gia Lai has entered its peak season. This year, local OCOP products have been creatively and uniquely incorporated into Tet gift baskets by manufacturers and distributors, imbued with the flavor of the Central Highlands.
Unlike previous years, this year’s Tet gift market has witnessed a significant change in consumer shopping habits. Instead of expensive gifts such as foreign wine, imported fruits, cakes, jams, etc., many people are turning to OCOP products, typical local rural industrial products.
With creative design and deep meaning, Tet gift baskets made from OCOP products are not only meaningful gifts but also contribute to promoting Gia Lai specialties.
At Co.op Mart and Vin Mart supermarkets in Pleiku City, the Tet atmosphere is filled with colorfully decorated display corners... When entering the supermarket, customers cannot help but be attracted by the richness and diversity of Tet products.
Notably, in the gift basket category, supermarkets cleverly combine OCOP products such as coffee, pepper, dried bamboo shoots, dried beef, etc. into gift baskets, creating gifts that are both traditional and sophisticated. With a variety of prices, from affordable to high-end, customers can easily choose a gift basket that suits their needs and budget.
As a regular customer of the Co.op Mart Pleiku Supermarket system, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thinh (residing in Group 2, Hoa Lu Ward, Pleiku City) said: “On the occasion of the New Year, I want to give my mother a meaningful gift. More than 300 OCOP products have contributed to making this year’s Tet market in Gia Lai more vibrant than ever. Notably, many OCOP entities have been constantly innovating, bringing to the market unique gift baskets made from bamboo, paper and other highly aesthetic accessories.
On the occasion of Tet this year, Tran Lam Gia Phat One Member Co., Ltd. (353/12 Truong Chinh, Tra Ba Ward, Pleiku City) invested in designing more than 30 models combining many products into Tet gift baskets. With 8 OCOP products of the province, the Company has flexibly designed gift baskets from popular with prices of 200,000 VND to high-end up to several million VND to meet the needs of customers. To date, the number of orders for Tet gift baskets of the Company has reached more than 10,000 orders.

Ms. Yen shared: “Realizing the high demand of the market for OCOP products during Tet, I proactively increased production more than a month ago. To meet the diverse needs of customers, the facility has creatively combined the province's OCOP products into exquisite Tet gift baskets. Thanks to careful preparation, the facility's gift baskets have been chosen by many customers as gifts for Tet.”

Thanks to the harmonious combination of typical products, it has brought consumers many attractive options. According to the Department of Industry and Trade of Gia Lai, the province currently has 41 4-star OCOP products and 264 3-star OCOP products from 161 entities. OCOP products contribute to enhancing the brand value of local products.
