Striving to open the entire coastal road to traffic in time for the 80th anniversary of National Day

Comrade Nguyen Quang Hung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee inspected the progress of the coastal road project.

The coastal road project through Thai Binh province has been approved by the Prime Minister to adjust the investment policy in Decision No. 192/QD-TTg, dated January 20, 2025, with a total investment of over VND 4,800 billion. Of which, the central budget capital is VND 1,100 billion, the local budget and legally mobilized capital sources are nearly VND 2,650 billion, and the BOT investor capital is nearly VND 1,090 billion. Currently, the work volume has been completed about 90% according to the technical design documents. The investment project to build trunk roads connecting to functional areas in Thai Binh Economic Zone includes 5 routes. Of which, Thai Thuy district has 2 routes (route 1 and 2), Tien Hai district has 3 routes (route 3, 4, 5) and Kien Xuong district has a section of route 3. Localities are resolutely carrying out site clearance work to speed up construction progress and soon put the project into operation.

Conducting field inspections and listening to reports from localities and units, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested investors to speed up the progress of the coastal road project through Thai Binh province; take advantage of favorable weather conditions to construct, ensure sufficient materials, and ensure construction quality according to approved designs; especially focus on completing bridge items on the route as soon as possible. Strive to basically complete the construction items by July 2025 and open the entire route to traffic on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025). He requested the Project Management Board to coordinate with relevant units to promptly remove obstacles and difficulties; strengthen supervision of construction quality; ensure security, order, and traffic safety to create conditions for contractors to construct on schedule. For the project of building main roads connecting to functional areas in Thai Binh Economic Zone, localities and units need to promptly resolve arising problems, remove bottlenecks in site clearance; strengthen inspection, supervision, and strictly manage the progress and quality of the project, ensuring compliance with the approved design.
