Impersonating a teacher to trick people into buying goods to appropriate property

(Dan Tri) - Tri pretended to be a teacher and called a grocery store in Soc Trang to order goods. After receiving the goods, Tri fled.

On November 19, according to information from Khanh Hoa Ward Police (Vinh Chau Town, Soc Trang Province), Ms. NNS, the owner of a grocery store, reported that a fraudster had appropriated her property.

After verification, the police arrested Trinh Minh Tri (41 years old, residing in My Xuyen district, Soc Trang province).

Initially, Tri confessed that he went to large grocery stores to get phone numbers and then called the stores, pretending to be a teacher and ordering to be delivered to a nearby school.

When the delivery person came, Tri said he needed to get more goods and would pay with the order first.

Thinking it was real, the delivery man returned to get more goods, but Tri quickly took the delivered goods and ran away.
