At the end of the trading session, the price of Robusta coffee on the London floor on July 23, 2024 at 4:30 a.m. increased to 4,039 - 4,581 USD/ton. Specifically, the delivery period for September 2024 was 4,581 USD/ton (up 51 USD/ton); the delivery period for November 2024 was 4,407 USD/ton (up 52 USD/ton); the delivery period for January 2025 was 4,208 USD/ton (up 44 USD/ton) and the delivery period for March 2025 was 4,039 USD/ton (up 37 USD/ton).

Arabica coffee prices on the New York floor on the morning of July 23, 2024 increased from 236.30 - 243.05 cents/lb. Specifically, the September 2024 delivery period is 243.05 cents/lb (up 2.04%); the December 2024 delivery period is 241.30 cents/lb (up 1.94%); the March 2025 delivery period is 239.45 cents/lb (up 1.92%) and the May 2025 delivery period is 236.30 cents/lb (up 1.88%).

The price of Brazilian Arabica coffee increased on the morning of July 23, 2024. Specifically, the delivery period for July 2024 is 306.25 USD/ton (up 2.25%); the delivery period for September 2024 is 300.20 USD/ton (up 0.07%); the delivery period for December 2024 is 295.00 USD/ton (up 2.24%) and the delivery period for March 2025 is 292.60 USD/ton (up 2.08%).
Robusta coffee traded on the ICE Futures Europe (London exchange) opens at 16:00 and closes at 00:30 (next day), Vietnam time.
Arabica coffee on the ICE Futures US floor (New York floor) opens at 16:15 and closes at 01:30 (next day), Vietnam time.
For Arabica coffee traded on the B3 Brazil floor, it will be open from 19:00 - 02:35 (next day), Vietnam time.
Data from the General Department of Customs shows that coffee exports have been falling sharply over the months as supplies are gradually depleted. In June alone, coffee exports were only half of the same period last year, about 70,000 tons. This is the lowest level since September 2023.
At the end of the first 9 months of the 2023/24 crop year (from October 2023 to June 2024), Vietnam exported nearly 1.26 million tons of coffee, equivalent to 86% of the output of about 1.47 million tons of the current crop year and down more than 11% compared to the same period last crop year.
If we do not count the inventory carried over from last year, our country will only have about 210,000 tons of coffee left to export from now until September.

Domestic coffee prices were updated at 4:30 a.m. on July 23, 2024 as follows, according to www.giacaphe.com, domestic coffee prices increased slightly by 400 - 600 VND/kg compared to yesterday, ranging from 126,500 - 127,200 VND/kg. Currently, the average purchase price in the Central Highlands provinces is 127,100 VND/kg, the highest purchase price in Dak Nong province is 127,200 VND/kg.
Specifically, the coffee purchase price in Gia Lai province (Chu Prong) is 127,000 VND, in Pleiku and La Grai the same price is 126,900 VND/kg; In Kon Tum province, the price is 127,000 VND/kg; In Dak Nong province, coffee is purchased at the highest price of 127,200 VND/kg.
The price of green coffee beans (coffee beans, fresh coffee beans) in Lam Dong province in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, Lam Ha, coffee is purchased at 126,500 VND/kg.
Coffee prices today, July 23, in Dak Lak province increased slightly by 400 VND/kg; in Cu M'gar district, coffee was purchased at about 127,000 VND/kg, and in Ea H'leo district, Buon Ho town, it was purchased at the same price of 126,900 VND/kg.
As of July 16, Brazil's new 2024/25 coffee harvest was 74% complete, faster than the 66% completion at the same stage of the previous crop.
Safras & Mercado has cut its estimate of Brazil's coffee production in 2024/25 to 66 million bags, down 6.5% from its previous estimate of 70.4 million bags due to unfavorable weather. Meanwhile, Rabobank has also revised its forecast for the country's coffee production in the new crop year. Accordingly, Brazil may only reach 67.1 million bags of coffee in 2024/25, down 3.87% from its previous estimate.
According to the annual industry report of the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), global coffee production in the business year ending September 30, 2024 is estimated at 169.2 million bags, lower than the previous forecast of 2.2 million bags. Exports in the period are also forecast to decrease by 0.4 million bags to 119.5 million bags. Of which, Vietnam and Indonesia decreased by 2.6 million bags, Central America decreased by 2.7 million bags but Brazil increased by 2 million bags. Ending stock is at 23.9 million bags.
