World coffee market developments
Last week, on the world market, Robusta and Arabica coffee prices experienced significant fluctuations. Robusta coffee futures for January 2025 delivery on the London exchange decreased by 98 USD/ton, while Arabica coffee futures for March 2025 delivery on the New York exchange increased by 5.5 cents/lb.

The main reason for this fluctuation is the impact of the US Federal Reserve (Fed) lowering interest rates, affecting the exchange rate and the commodity market. The continuous rise and fall of the US dollar, along with the weakening of the Brazilian Real, encourages Brazilian manufacturers to boost exports, increasing supply in the market.
Domestic coffee market continues to decline slightly

Currently, the coffee harvest is about 40-50% complete. Vietnam's coffee output this crop year is forecast to reach about 1.6 million tons, while domestic consumption is expected to be between 270,000 and 300,000 tons.
