On March 14, the Steering Committee 515 of Thanh Hoa province held a conference to summarize the implementation of Decision No. 75/2013/QD-TTg dated December 6, 2013 and Decision No. 35/2017/QD-TTg dated July 25, 2017 of the Prime Minister on the regime, policies and assurance work for organizations and individuals performing the task of searching for and collecting martyrs' remains. Comrade Dau Thanh Tung, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee 515 of Thanh Hoa province chaired the conference.
Overview of the Conference.
Implementing the Prime Minister's Decisions on regimes, policies and assurance work for organizations and individuals performing the task of searching for and collecting martyrs' remains, from 2014 up to now, the leadership and direction of the implementation of regimes, policies and assurance work for organizations and individuals performing the task of searching for and collecting martyrs' remains have been closely and seriously led and directed by the Steering Committee 515 at all levels and the Party Committees and commanders of agencies and units of Thanh Hoa province, ensuring the correct implementation process; resources to ensure implementation have been deployed, carefully prepared and promptly exploited by units and localities.
That result has contributed to strengthening social security, stabilizing the situation locally, domestically and internationally, and has positively encouraged organizations and individuals directly participating or coordinating in the task of searching for and collecting martyrs' remains domestically and internationally. It has been supported by the people and participating officers and soldiers, and has been recognized and highly appreciated by public opinion.
From 2014 to present, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Military Command's Collection Team has searched for and collected 289 martyrs' remains, including 94 martyrs' remains collected domestically and 195 martyrs' remains collected in Laos.
In addition to the achieved results, many opinions also raised difficulties and inadequacies in the implementation of the Prime Minister's Decisions from practice such as: the budget to ensure the repair of equipment and vehicles; the compensation level for assets, crops and the general expenditure level in performing tasks in some other contents are not suitable compared to current conditions.
Comrade Dau Thanh Tung awarded prizes to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in performing their tasks.
Concluding the conference, Comrade Dau Thanh Tung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee 515 of Thanh Hoa province, highly appreciated the achievements of the Steering Committee; at the same time, he agreed to identify 4 key tasks and 3 recommendations, proposals, and suggestions for amendments and supplements in the implementation of the Prime Minister's decisions on regimes, policies and assurance work for organizations and individuals performing the task of searching and collecting martyrs' remains in the coming time. He wished: In addition to the regimes and policies guaranteed by the State and the Government for organizations and individuals participating in the task of searching and collecting martyrs' remains, departments, branches, and localities should pay attention to supporting medical treatment for the Collection Team performing the task of mass mobilization in Laos; have a policy of visiting and giving gifts during holidays and Tet to the families of cadres and employees while on duty; timely and extraordinary rewards for organizations and individuals with outstanding achievements in providing information and performing tasks, thereby creating motivation and spreading to all classes of people about the work of searching for and collecting martyrs' remains.
At the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dau Thanh Tung awarded Certificates of Merit from the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee to 3 collectives and 6 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing Decision No. 75/2013/QD-TTg and Decision No. 35/2017/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister.
