
At the ceremony, the Vietnam Craft Village Association awarded the title to 151 “Vietnamese Craft Village Artisans” and 3 “Golden Boards of Vietnamese Traditional Craft Clans” in various professions and craft villages from 30 provinces and cities across the country. Of which, 3 clans were awarded the Golden Board, including: Luong Ngoc clan (Group 5, Zone 1A, Cao Thang Ward, Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province) for photography; Nguyen Ngoc clan (No. 137 Ton Duc Thang Street, Tho Quan Ward, Dong Da District, Hanoi) for tailoring; Nguyen Dinh clan (No. 75 Giai Phong Street, Dong Tam Ward, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi) for traditional and modern culinary profession.
The artisans are awarded based on the following criteria: Being a skilled worker, holding the secrets of the profession, having high level of skills and techniques, directly creating models and designing products, having a sense of responsibility to protect the environment; having achievements in contributing to preserving and teaching the profession to the younger generation; having works that have won domestic or international awards; having professional qualifications and ethics; participating in building an increasingly strong Association...

For the “Golden Board of Traditional Vietnamese Craft Families”, families and clans born and raised in traditional craft villages and streets, passed down the craft for 3 generations or more, mastering the craft secrets, having qualifications, skills, techniques, and designing products with high cultural content; preserving and teaching the craft to younger generations in the family and community by combining traditional and modern technology; having products and works that have won prizes at competitions, fairs, and exhibitions; winning prizes domestically and internationally, being environmentally friendly; having stable production and business activities, bringing practical benefits to the family and community...
At the ceremony, Chairman of the Vietnam Craft Villages Association Trinh Quoc Dat said that since 2007, the Vietnam Craft Villages Association has organized 11 ceremonies to confer titles on 1,245 artisans, 84 skilled workers, 128 family gold plaques, 73 typical economic units, 12 quintessential craft village treasures, and 100 quintessential products. Many Vietnamese craft village artisans who have been conferred titles by the Association have strived to achieve the titles of People's Artisan and Meritorious Artisan in the conferments of the State.

The awards of the Vietnam Craft Village Association are all meaningful in honoring the quintessence of traditional crafts, honoring and encouraging the creative work and contributions of artisans in preserving and developing traditional Vietnamese crafts.
