Business News - VNGGames strategic cooperation with VTVCab, promoting the development of Vietnamese eSports

On March 13, 2025, VNGGames and Vietnam Cable Television Corporation (VTVCab) signed a strategic cooperation agreement, marking a turning point in the combination of the television industry and the eSports ecosystem, bringing new experiences to fans in Vietnam.

This cooperation is expected to maximize the potential of both sides, creating long-term value for Vietnamese eSports. Accordingly, VNGGames becomes a strategic partner of ON Live Esports (under VTVCab) in the long-term eSports development roadmap, while ON Live Esports will distribute and broadcast the entire domestic and international tournament system of games copyrighted by VNGGames in Vietnam, including: League of Legends , VALORANT , PUBG Mobile and Truth Arena .

In addition, ON Live Esports will also be the main sponsor of the ON Live VCS 2025 League of Legends National Championship; and will coordinate with VNGGames to organize, produce and broadcast the VALORANT National Championship (ON Live VALORANT Series) on digital platforms.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. La Xuan Thang, Director of online game publishing VNGGames, shared: “This cooperation not only brings new experiences about eSports to fans, but also opens up opportunities for brands and sponsors to participate in the eSports ecosystem. With the strength of VNGGames as the leading publisher of eSports titles in Vietnam, and the prestige and creativity of VTVCab targeting young customers, we aim to bring Vietnamese eSports to the forefront, affirming its position not only in Southeast Asia but also on a continental and world scale.”

Mr. Bui Huy Nam, General Director of VTVcab, emphasized: "eSports is an important and strategic content in VTVCab's development orientation, especially targeting young audiences. Over the past year, VTVcab has connected with the Federation and partner units to bring eSports closer to viewers to develop the domestic eSports community. We hope that the cooperation with VNGGames will create more opportunities for eSports to go hand in hand with traditional sports in the future."

Previously, VNGGames was a strategic partner of the Vietnam Entertainment Electronic Sports Association (VIRESA) at the 31st and 32nd SEA Games, operating 3 eSports competitions and supporting Vietnamese athletes to participate in competitions, contributing to enhancing the position of the country's eSports in the international arena.
