Scientific workshop (2nd time) "History of Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee" volume I, II, III

On the morning of April 18, the Steering Committee (SC) republished, edited, and supplemented "History of the Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee" volume I (1927-1975), volume II (1975-2005), researched and compiled volume III (2005-2025) and organized a scientific workshop (second time) on the manuscript of the book series "History of the Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee" volume I, II, III (from 1927 - 2025). Comrade Dinh Thi Lua, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Party agencies, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the SC chaired the workshop.

Attending the workshop were Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Trong Tho, Deputy Director of the Institute of Party History, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Head of the Compilation Board; members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, former members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, members of the Steering Committee, members of the Compilation Board, members of the Document Collection Team and assistants to the Steering Committee for compilation.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Dinh Thi Lua delivered a concluding speech at the workshop.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Comrade Nguyen Duc Toan, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, emphasized: After the success of the first workshop, the Compilation Steering Committee has directed the Compilation Board to continue to collect and exploit necessary and missing documents; at the same time, research, absorb to the maximum, edit, supplement, and perfect the manuscript according to the comments of the provincial leaders through the periods. Up to now, the manuscript of the book series History of the Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee, Volumes I, II, III from 1927 to 2025, has been completed. The structure of the chapters and sections is reasonable and divided into periods, and has been adjusted according to the opinions agreed upon at the first workshop: Volume I (1927 - 1975), Volume II (1975 - 1996), Volume III (1997 - 2025); the source of documents has been exploited and supplemented basically and comprehensively.

Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Trong Tho, Deputy Director of the Institute of Party History, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Head of the Editorial Board spoke at the workshop.

The process of researching and compiling the book series has been closely directed by the Steering Committee, seriously and elaborately implemented from the steps of building the outline, exploiting and processing documents, researching, compiling, asking for comments to receiving, editing, perfecting the manuscript, and organizing the first workshop. After the editing and perfecting period based on the contributions of the provincial leaders, this workshop hopes to continue to receive comments, comments, and assessments from experts, scientists; leaders of the Institute of Party History, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; former Standing Committee members of the Provincial Party Committee, former members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee through the periods, and delegates attending the workshop so that the book manuscript achieves the best quality before publication.

At the workshop, delegates discussed and contributed ideas to clarify some key contents in the leadership of the Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee in nearly 100 years, especially in the period of 1997-2025; valuable lessons learned from the practical implementation of political tasks; outstanding achievements in socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, building new rural areas, advanced new rural areas, civilized urban areas... in the province. In addition, delegates suggested that some additional contents should be added, especially on the consolidation and merger of departments, branches, sectors, and communes of the province...

Concluding the workshop, on behalf of the Steering Committee for the compilation of the History of the Party Committee of Ha Nam Province, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Dinh Thi Lua, respectfully thanked the delegates for their valuable comments. The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the leaders of the Institute of Party History and the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics to pay attention, guide, assist, and create professional conditions in the process of receiving and completing the manuscript, as well as the appraisal process so that the book series History of the Party Committee of Ha Nam Province achieves the best results in terms of content and quality. The Editorial Board is requested to take full advantage of the comments at the workshop, review, edit, and supplement the book. The historical events selected for inclusion in the book must be researched and appraised, ensuring the principles of Party nature, accuracy, comprehensiveness, objectivity, authenticity, typicality, specificity, and scientificity. The use of writing style must ensure political, clear, easy-to-understand, conciseness, and suitability for many readers. The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission and the Standing Office of the Steering Committee for republishing, editing and supplementing the History of the Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee continue to coordinate in providing documents and completing the manuscript of the book series with the highest spirit and responsibility; advise on the processes and procedures related to the appraisal and acceptance of the manuscript of the book series.

Based on actual conditions, research and advise the Steering Committee on the appropriate number of copies of the book series History of the Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee, Volumes I, II, III, to avoid waste; coordinate with relevant agencies to carry out procedures and processes for printing and distributing the book series in accordance with legal regulations. Members of the Steering Committee for reprinting, editing and supplementing the History of the Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee according to assigned tasks continue to pay attention to leading and directing the preparation of good conditions to serve the work of completing the manuscript History of the Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee from 1927 to 2025 to ensure the publication and distribution of the book series in August 2025.
