Announcing the book "Quan Ho Bac Ninh Folk Songs" by artist Nguyen Duc Soi

On the evening of April 17, at the Quan Ho Folk Song Theater (Viem Xa area, Hoa Long ward, Bac Ninh city), the Provincial Literature and Arts Association announced the book "Quan Ho Bac Ninh Folk Songs by artist Nguyen Duc Soi". Attending the program were comrade Ha Sy Tiep, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; Leaders of a number of departments, branches and sectors in the province.

Artisan Nguyen Duc Soi (1912 – 1997) was an outstanding son of the Quan Ho village of Ngang Noi, Hien Van commune, Tien Du district. As a creator, a hard-working collector, a teacher and a movement builder, Artisan Nguyen Duc Soi was a person who possessed Heart-Talent-Virtue. His entire life was a tireless dedication to Quan Ho folk songs, contributing to making Quan Ho folk songs a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

The book “Quan Ho Bac Ninh Folk Songs” is a collection of passionate compositions by artist Nguyen Duc Soi, published by Lao Dong Publishing House in 2025. The book is nearly 200 pages thick, divided into 2 parts: Part 1 - Compositions by artist Nguyen Duc Soi, Part 2 - Articles about artist Nguyen Duc Soi. The book not only brings Quan Ho lovers a valuable document but also a deep gratitude to the person who contributed to preserving and spreading the quintessence of Quan Ho culture.

The Organizing Committee presented books to Quan Ho artists and actors at the announcement ceremony.

The book launch night is meant to show gratitude and honor the contributions of our ancestors, and is also an opportunity for those who love Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs to meet; remind generations of artists to continue promoting, preserving and developing the value of the heritage, and at the same time, it is a basis to continue promoting new research, lighting the fire of inspiration to find Quan Ho talents to follow in their footsteps, enhance achievements and create new Quan Ho songs.
