The Hanoi Voice Contest, organized by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, was launched in 1997 and has been around for nearly 30 years.
The Voice of Hanoi 2024 consists of three rounds: preliminary, semi-final and final. The final is scheduled to take place in December 2024 at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Cultural Palace and will be broadcast live on HTV.

The Voice of Hanoi 2024 has the theme "Hanoi - A pink heart", is one of the cultural and artistic events celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital and 1,014 years of Thang Long - Hanoi.
Mr. Do Dinh Hong, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Hanoi, said: " The Voice of Hanoi not only honors the elegant beauty of Hanoi, but also depicts the love and pride in the cultural and artistic traditions that the capital has preserved over thousands of years of history."
According to him, the songs and voices that resounded from the contest were both the hearts of the contestants and the echoes of generations of Hanoians, as a gratitude to the land that nurtured their spirit and talent.
The contestants not only showed off their talents but also brought with them their love and pride for the culture and people of Hanoi, contributing to the diversity and depth of modern music.

The biggest prize is the Voice of Hanoi
Regarding the award structure, the program will award first, second, and third prizes (equivalent to 50 million VND, 20 million VND, and 10 million VND, respectively) in three main music genres: Chamber Music, Folk Music, and Light Music.
There are also secondary prizes: Prize for the contestant with the highest rating from the judges, The best contestant singing about Hanoi and the most popular contestant.
Talking about the prize, Mr. Do Dinh Hong said that the cash value is not large, but the biggest and most meaningful reward is that the winning contestants will from now on be associated with the brand of Hanoi's Voice.

This is a prestigious competition in terms of expertise, which has been affirmed over time.
The jury of The Voice of Hanoi includes musician Duc Trinh, People's Artist Ha Thuy, People's Artist Quoc Hung, People's Artist Tan Minh, Meritorious Artist Lan Anh, Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan, music researcher Nguyen Quang Long, musician Kien Nguyen and singer Nguyen Tran Trung Quan.
People's Artist Quoc Hung - Deputy Director in charge of Vietnam National Academy of Music, member of the jury - said:
"Regarding the judging criteria, of course, it's the voice and appearance. Candidates with good voices and good appearance, and more importantly, the ability to feel music and the ability to process music, will definitely win the prize."
He also informed that among the applications, most candidates come from vocational schools.
"It can be said that this year's competition is very competitive, which is also very difficult for the judges. The jury is also very strong and all are the most professional people," he shared.
