According to Samsung's website, the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition has a 6.5-inch outer display and an 8-inch folding screen. When measured horizontally, the phone is 10.6mm when folded and 4.9mm when opened. So the phone will be slightly thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold6. The device still uses an Armor Aluminum frame and is IPX8 water resistant.
The main screen of the device is 7.99 inches in size, QXGA + resolution (2,184 x 1,968 pixels), maximum brightness of 2,600 nits and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The external screen is 6.5 inches in size, FHD + resolution (2,520 x 1,080 pixels) and does not support the S pen.
Besides, details such as the large secondary screen on the front, using a perforated design containing the selfie camera and square edges are quite similar to the Z Fold6.
The camera is upgraded with a 200 MP main version with a 12MP super wide angle and a 10 MP telephoto lens capable of 3x optical zoom and 30x digital zoom.
The device is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, 16 GB Ram, 512 GB internal memory and equipped with a 4,272 mAh battery.
The Z Fold Special Edition costs $1,020 in South Korea.
