As the fourth member of the Galaxy S25 series, alongside the Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra, the S25 Slim will not appear with the other products of the S25 series in January 2025 but will be launched a few months later.
Recently, the Galaxy S25 Slim appeared on the Geekbench list with model number SM- S937U, showing that this is the variant for the North American market.
S25 Slim is equipped with Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip, comes with 12GB Ram for powerful performance, runs Android 15 with OneUI 7 user interface.
The source also revealed that the device achieved a single-core score of 3,005 and a multi-core score of 6,945. Despite its slim design, the Galaxy S25 Slim is said to have a battery capacity of 4,700 mAh to 5,000 mAh (equivalent to the battery of the S24 Ultra).
A recent report revealed that the Galaxy S25 Slim will use Samsung's All Lens on Prism (ALoP) telephoto zoom lens. This new technology was designed by the ISOCELL team and was launched last month.
The ALoP lens is known to have lenses mounted on a periscope prism. It uses a 40˚ tilted prism reflecting surface and a 10˚ tilted sensor assembly.
Conventional folding zoom cameras cannot use a wider lens because that would increase its size and not fit into the smartphone body. In contrast, ALoP can use a wider lens because it is placed horizontally with the body, thus not increasing the thickness of the phone.
Samsung's information reveals that the ALoP lens has an f/2.58 aperture at 80mm (about 3x optical zoom), while the S24 Ultra's regular folded zoom lens has an f/3.4 aperture. Since the ALoP has a wider aperture and a slim cluster, it will match the Galaxy S25 Slim - rumored to be 7mm thinner.
Previous reports have revealed that the S25 Slim will come with a 200MP main camera using Samsung's new Isocell HP5 sensor, which is smaller than the HP2 sensor in the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The phone will also have two 50MP Isocell JN5 1/2.76 sensors for ultra-wide-angle and 3.5x telephoto shots, promising sharp zoom capabilities.
The source also said that the Galaxy S25 Slim will be available in the US instead of being limited to the Korean market through separate carriers.
