European clubs win big at Club World Cup
According to Spanish newspaper AS , European clubs have won by convincing FIFA to share the lion's share of the prize money from the Club World Cup (which will take place from June 14 to July 13, in the new version with 32 participating clubs). Accordingly, with a total prize of up to 1 billion USD, FIFA will divide it into 2 parts.

Of this, the largest portion, $525 million, will be divided among all participating clubs. The remaining $475 million will be divided based on performance.
However, in the division of the participation money of the clubs, FIFA has divided the largest amount of money for representative clubs from Europe, with the lowest level being 12.81 million USD to the highest level being 38.19 million USD, based on the rankings and revenue of the teams here.
Previously, there was information that FIFA would divide each participating club equally 50 million USD. However, European clubs objected, and requested that the world football body should divide based on the achievements and influence of European clubs, which would receive more.
Therefore, according to the latest and official decision, top clubs such as Real Madrid, Man City, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, PSG or Inter Milan, Juventus, Atletico Madrid, will certainly receive the highest participation fee, due to their position as well as great revenue attraction.
Meanwhile, clubs in South America will receive about 15.21 million USD. Clubs in CONCACAF (North, Central America and the Caribbean), CAF (Africa) and AFC (Asia) will receive 9.55 million USD.
Messi's Inter Miami club, although representing the host country of the United States, is in this group region and therefore receives a similar amount. The clubs in the region receiving the lowest amount are Oceania (OFC), at about 3.58 million USD.

The rest is allocated by FIFA based on the performance in the Club World Cup, which is fair for all clubs. In the group stage, each win receives $2 million, a draw is $1 million. Round of 16 teams receive $7.5 million. Quarter-finals receive $13.125 million. Semi-finals are $21 million. Finalists receive $30 million. The champion team receives $40 million.
According to AS 's calculations, if a club participates and goes straight to the championship with a perfect record, they can earn a record amount of up to 125 million USD. This is the highest prize money ever, even higher than the Champions League champion team in Europe (about 100 million USD based on performance).
Meanwhile, FIFA has yet to decide which club will replace Mexico's Club Leon, which was disqualified for violating the "one owner, multiple teams" rule. This is because the team has the same owner as Mexico's Pachuca, which is also participating in the Club World Cup. Club Leon has filed a lawsuit with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), but so far there has been no final conclusion.
