The Ministry of Industry and Trade said that in the first 9 months of the year, the total electricity production and import output of the entire system reached about 210.3 billion kWh, an increase of 3.35% over the same period in 2022, reaching 73.9% of the approved plan for 2023. Recently, EVN sent an official dispatch to the Ministry of Industry and Trade reporting on the plan to ensure electricity supply in the last months of the year.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade affirmed that it will basically have enough electricity for production and daily life in the last months of the year.

According to EVN's calculations, in the remaining time of this year, the total electricity production and import output of the entire system is estimated to reach 95.6 - 97.2 billion kWh, an increase of 9.9% - 11.8% over the same period in 2022.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Industry and Trade forecasts that this year, the total electricity production and import output of the entire system is estimated to reach 281.9 - 283.6 billion kWh, an increase of about 5.1 - 5.7% over the same period in 2022, reaching 99.1 - 99.6% compared to the approved annual plan.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade also affirmed that electricity supply in the remaining months of this year will basically be guaranteed for production and people's lives.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade is also directing EVN and the National Power System Dispatch Center to develop a 2024 power supply plan to ensure the highest power supply for production and daily life next year.

According to EVN, in October, the average daily electricity consumption of the entire system is expected to be 754.4 million kWh/day, an increase of 7.22% over the same period in 2022 and will continue to be guaranteed by this group.

However, EVN continues to call on people, offices, and manufacturing enterprises to proactively use electricity safely and economically during peak noon hours (from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) and peak evening hours (from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.); use air conditioning reasonably (set at 26 - 27 degrees Celsius or higher, use in combination with fans) and should not use many high-capacity electrical devices at the same time.

EVN aims to operate the power system stably and safely in October; continue to mobilize thermal power plants at high levels. Hydropower plants will operate according to the actual hydrological situation and optimal regulation orientation, aiming to store water to normal water levels by the end of the year.
