On the morning of June 19, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training officially announced the 10th grade entrance exam scores for the 2024-2025 school year. According to the score distribution, English had the highest number of candidates achieving perfect scores, with 1,707 candidates. Next was Math, with 49 candidates achieving perfect scores.

In Literature alone, only one candidate achieved the highest score of 9.5 points.

Specifically, for the Literature subject, 9,182 candidates scored 7, the highest score achieved by a candidate. Next were 8,168 candidates who scored 6.5.
The number of candidates achieving Literature scores from 7.5 to 8.75 is more than 31,000. Of these, 197 students achieved 9 points and 20 students achieved 9.25 points.

In Math, 49 students scored 10. There were 560 tests with a score of 9 or higher. The remaining 50% of the tests scored below average.

In Foreign Languages (mainly English), about 1,700 candidates achieved perfect scores, lower than the more than 2,100 last year. In addition, more than 14,700 students scored 9 or higher.
Deadline for submitting appeals
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, after knowing their exam scores, candidates who want to review their results can apply and submit them to the secondary school where they are studying, from June 21 to 24, and receive the results on June 30.
The Department plans to announce the benchmark scores for specialized and integrated 10th graders on June 24. The benchmark scores for regular 10th graders and the list of admitted students will be announced on July 10.

The 10th grade exam in Ho Chi Minh City took place on June 6-7 with more than 98,000 candidates. The total quota for public high schools is about 77,300.
The general admission score is the total score of the three subjects Literature, Mathematics, Foreign Language and priority points (if any). Candidates must take all three subjects, not violate the regulations, and not have a failing score (0 points).
The Department plans to announce the benchmark scores for specialized and integrated 10th grade on June 24, and the benchmark scores for regular 10th grade (general) on July 10.
