Tran Phu Street, located in Minh Anh Ward, is about 1 km long, with one end connecting to Hoang Dieu Street and the other end being the Japanese Covered Bridge. This street is located in the center of Hoi An ancient town and was known as Rue du Pont Japonnais during the French colonial period, meaning Japanese Bridge Street. Ancient architectural works on Tran Phu Street include the Assembly Halls of Guangdong, Fujian, Quynh Phu, and Trieu Chau; Quan Cong Temple, Hoi An Museum of History and Culture, Sa Huynh Culture Museum, etc. On this street, there are also famous corners with beautiful photo backgrounds such as the intersection of Tran Phu - Tran Quy Cap, Tran Phu - Le Loi, etc.

"Hoi An, a thriving and bustling trading port that operated from the 15th to the 19th centuries, is a popular destination for many tourists for many reasons, the most notable of which is the monthly lantern festival held on Tran Phu Street. The festival celebrates the full moon and involves lighting a candle and burning it inside a brightly colored paper lantern. People on Tran Phu Street have been doing this for centuries," Architectural Digest wrote.
Tran Phu Street in Hoi An City ranked 45th out of 71 streets in the world. Next is Koon Seng Street, known by locals as the most colorful street in Singapore, and Sidi Bou Said in Tunisia.
Topping the list is Colmar in France. Other places in the Top 5 are Brienz in Switzerland, Setenil de las Bodegas in Spain, Águeda in Portugal and Brooklyn in New York.
Previously, Time Out magazine also chose Hoi An as an ideal tourist destination in July. At that time, tourists coming to Vietnam often choose beautiful beaches in the Central region and Hoi An is a destination not to be missed. In addition, the magazine also suggested that tourists should go to Da Nang, the ancient capital of Hue, Phong Nha Cave (Quang Binh) to admire the beauty of Central Vietnam.
