Railways start selling train tickets for Tet

Vietnam Railways Corporation said that during the Lunar New Year 2024 (from January 26, 2024, or December 16, year of the Cat, to February 26, 2024, or January 17, year of the Dragon), 6 pairs of Thong Nhat passenger trains will be regularly operated.

Railways will open Tet train ticket sales for individual customers from October 20.

In addition, the railway also runs 7 more pairs of trains on the routes (Hanoi - Vinh, Hanoi - Da Nang, Da Nang - Saigon, Quy Nhon - Saigon, Nha Trang - Saigon, Phan Thiet - Saigon); 9 more pairs of trains (including 4 pairs of Thong Nhat trains and 5 pairs of passenger trains in the section before and after Tet holiday).

Specifically, there are 6 pairs of Thong Nhat trains (between Hanoi - Saigon and vice versa) and 7 pairs of regional passenger trains running regularly. The 6 pairs of Thong Nhat trains include: SE1/SE2, SE3/SE4, SE5/6, SE7/SE8, SE9/SE10, SE11/SE12.

7 pairs of regional trains include: Hanoi - Vinh and vice versa: NA1/NA2, SE35/SE36; Hanoi - Da Nang and vice versa: SE19/SE20; Da Nang - Saigon and vice versa: SE21/SE22; Quy Nhon - Saigon and vice versa: SE29/SE30; Nha Trang - Saigon and vice versa: SNT1/SNT2; Phan Thiet - Saigon and vice versa: SPT1/SPT2.

In addition, 9 additional train pairs will be operated, including 4 Thong Nhat train pairs on the Hanoi - Saigon route and vice versa: SE23/SE24, SE27/SE28, TN3/TN4, TN5/TN6.

5 pairs of regional trains, including: Vinh - Saigon and vice versa: SE13/SE14, SE15/SE16; Dong Hoi - Saigon and vice versa: SE17/SE18; Quang Ngai - Saigon and vice versa: SE25/SE26; Nha Trang - Saigon and vice versa: SNT11/SNT12 (train SNT12 runs before Tet, train SNT11 runs after Tet).

The Corporation will accept group ticket registrations at stations and ticket sales points from October 14-15, and will then sell tickets to registered groups.

From 8:00 a.m. on October 20, train tickets for the 2024 Lunar New Year will be widely sold to passengers through the following forms: online ticket sales via website: www.dsvn.vn; vetau.com.vn; at stations, ticket sales points and ticket sales agents of the railway; via e-wallet applications Momo, ViettelPay, VNPay, ZaloPay, train ticket sales apps on mobile devices... Through ticket sales hotlines at Saigon station: 19001520, Hanoi: 19000109.
