In addition, the railway industry is also applying many preferential policies to support train passengers such as: Discounts for social policy beneficiaries, trade unions, passengers with customer cards; 3% discount on ticket prices for trains departing from Saigon station on February 8, 2024 (ie December 29 of the lunar calendar) and passengers traveling from 1,000 km or more; 5% discount on return ticket prices for passengers purchasing round-trip tickets. In particular, students will receive a 10 - 20% discount on ticket prices depending on the day of travel.
In addition, to stimulate passenger demand for rail travel, Saigon Railway Transport Joint Stock Company continues to implement the promotion program "6,000 seats with 30% discount" for passengers traveling on trains managed by the company in November (from November 1 to 30).
Ticket sales are from 8am on October 27 to November 27, applicable to passengers who purchase tickets 3 days or more before the train departs with specific carriage and seat numbers (when passengers purchase tickets for these fixed seats, they will receive a 30% discount on the ticket price). Promotional tickets are applicable to all types of seats on the train.
Applicable trains: Trains SE3/SE4, SE7/SE8 with a travel distance of 400 km or more (Monday to Wednesday), 500 km or more (Thursday to Sunday); Trains SE21/SE22 with a travel distance of 400 km or more; Trains SNT1/SNT2 with a travel distance of 250 km or more; Trains SPT1/SPT2 with a travel distance of 150 km or more.
After the discount, train tickets from Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang are only from 180,000 VND/ticket; from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang are only from 340,000 VND/ticket; especially, tickets from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi are only from 615,000 VND/ticket.
