Elon Musk's offensive and somewhat inappropriate comments were made on November 29, in an interview following an event with The New York Times , in the context of him being criticized by many people for supporting posts with anti-Semitic content.
Specifically, Mr. Musk repeatedly said he regretted posting a tweet on November 15th that agreed with an anti-Semitic article that at the time falsely claimed that Jews were inciting hatred against white people.

Mr. Musk's actions have caused a series of X users, including many advertisers, to decide to boycott this social network.
In response to the backlash from these users, Mr. Musk appeared annoyed and stressed that he did not want to be seen as anti-Semitic. He added that advertisers who left X should not think they could threaten him.
“I don’t want them advertising,” the billionaire declared. “If anyone wants to use advertising or money to blackmail me, then go away. Go away. Is that clear,” Mr. Musk firmly said.
According to the American billionaire, customers who do not like him "should consider the products his company produces based on their quality".
He added that he had done more for the environment than anyone else in the world, based on Tesla's massive sales of electric vehicles. "So it's fair to say that as the leader of the company, I have done more for the environment than anybody, any human being on Earth," he said.
In addition, he also used inappropriate words to criticize his former customers.

Reuters quoted Lou Paskalis, founder of marketing consultancy AJL Advisory (USA), saying that Mr. Musk's obscene words towards advertisers were "the final chapter" for their business cooperation with X. "They will not forget it," he said.
Following criticism surrounding his post, Mr. Musk traveled to Israel. On November 27, he spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a live-streamed conversation on X.
On November 29, Mr. Musk said the trip had been planned before his message and was “independent” of the recent controversy over X.
