Chinese press promotes relations with Vietnam

The People's Daily on April 15 devoted the entire front page, page 5, most of page 2 and part of page 3 to reporting in detail on the activities within the framework of the visit to Vietnam of General Secretary and President Xi Jinping. This is a special and rare thing for the newspaper with the world's largest circulation, in its role as the mouthpiece of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

Taking place at the right time to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the visit has great significance in continuing the past, looking towards the future, contributing to strengthening political trust, bringing strong momentum to cooperation in all fields.

According to Professor Hua Liping, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the visit of General Secretary and President Xi Jinping, with the dual positions of Party and State leadership, is a way to promote both party diplomacy and state diplomacy, contributing to consolidating traditional friendship and expanding the socialist cause.
