Duc Phuc and 911 release MV "I do" |
Boyband 911 is an international music group that was once the youth of generations 8X, 9X in Vietnam with the legendary song I do . Millions of audiences around the world have deeply remembered the melody of the song "I'll be by your side, 'til the day I die, I'll be waiting 'til I hear you say I do...".
Perhaps the audience has heard that song at countless romantic proposals or emotional weddings... but a fact that many people do not know is that I do has not been officially released as a single by 911 even though it has been released for 14 years.
In this international collaboration, boyband 911 and Duc Phuc recorded the song I do with a new, more modern, and more up-to-date version. The song will also be released in Vietnam with a bilingual English-Vietnamese version titled Em dong y (I do), with Vietnamese lyrics and arrangement by musician Khac Hung.
On the evening of February 9, the official MV of the song was released on Duc Phuc's YouTube channel. Throughout the MV are images filled with happiness of couples of different ages and generations. Those are the moments from when they met, fell in love, did everything together until the day the men knelt down to propose to the most important person in their life and the dream wedding took place.
Duc Phuc's sweet voice harmonized with the 3 members of boyband 911, Lee Brennan, Jimmy Constables, and Spike Dawbarn, helping I do to be dressed in a new, warmer, and more youthful coat.
The song is performed in two languages and the alternating Vietnamese and English segments are translated very smoothly. The message of the song is kept intact and conveyed skillfully. Watching the MV makes many audiences of the 8X and 9X generations feel like they are watching a film about their past youth.

In just over a month, the team of nearly 100 people worked at full speed to work with 911 and Duc Phuc to bring a wonderful music product. Hopefully in the future, we will have many other interesting music projects in Vietnam,” the representative of 911 shared.
With the first international collaboration with a world music group, this can be considered a big step forward in Duc Phuc's career.
