On March 29 at BHD Thao Dien, 2 episodes of the television documentary series "Crossing the Waves" namely City Construction and Flowers on the Fire Line were widely introduced to students. At the same time, the audience had the opportunity to interact with the film crew and historical witnesses who lived and witnessed the changes of the city named after Uncle Ho.

This is the first time a cinetour documentary has been shown in major theaters, demonstrating the producer's efforts to bring audiences authentic, vivid and intimate experiences.
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the 37-episode documentary "Overcoming the Waves" produced by Ho Chi Minh City Television Film Studio (TFS), which was broadcast on HTV9 last week, received a positive response from the audience.

The film is a journey of tireless efforts of the city's government and people over the past 50 years, spanning 3 stages: 1975 - 1985, 1986 - 1999, 2000 - 2025. From the time of liberation, still in turmoil after the war, to the period of "breaking the fence" of subsidies, opening up to develop the economy and to today, the city has become the economic locomotive of the whole country, with impressive GDP growth, improved material and spiritual life, building Ho Chi Minh City with good quality of life, civilized, modern, and affectionate.

The cinetour of the movie "Overcoming the Waves" takes place every Saturday morning until April 26, 2025.

The film is being broadcast at 7:35 a.m. on HTV9 from March 25 to April 30 and at 8:00 p.m. daily on HTV and TFS digital platforms.
