On November 8, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ky - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee chaired the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee to evaluate the situation and results of work in 2023 and set out directions and tasks for 2024.

In 2023, with many correct and scientific policies and decisions, Quang Ninh province has proactively overcome difficulties and challenges, continuing to develop the socio-economy. In particular, it is expected to complete and exceed 12/12 main socio-economic targets, maintaining a stable double-digit growth rate for 8 consecutive years (2016 - 2023).
The total investment capital attracted in Quang Ninh province in 2023 is estimated at 5 billion USD. Of which, FDI attraction reached the highest level ever with more than 3.1 billion USD, equal to 311% of the Resolution target of the Party Executive Committee and People's Council of Quang Ninh province (at least 1 billion USD), equal to 259.2% of the plan of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province (reaching 1.2 billion USD). Attracting domestic and foreign investment capital in the area is estimated at 1.9 billion USD, exceeding 17.3% of the plan of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province.
At the conference, through discussion, the Standing Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee agreed on a number of contents to complete the report to the Executive Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee on the direction and tasks for 2024. In particular, continuing to resolutely, comprehensively, synchronously and regularly implement the work of building and rectifying the Party and the political system, in terms of politics, ideology, ethics, organization and cadres.
Quang Ninh province plans to welcome more than 17 million tourists by 2024.
In terms of socio-economics, Quang Ninh province strives to welcome more than 17 million tourists in 2024. Of which, international visitors will be more than 3 million. The rate of national standard schools will reach 92%. FDI attraction will reach more than 3 billion USD. The urbanization rate will reach over 73%. The goal is for the entire Quang Ninh province to have no more poor households and reduce 50% of near-poor households according to the multidimensional poverty standards applied in the area in the period of 2023 - 2025.
The Standing Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee also listened to and gave opinions on the Provincial Party Committee's Work Program and the Inspection and Supervision Program for 2024; gave opinions on amending and supplementing the Working Regulations of the Provincial People's Council Party Delegation and the Working Regulations of the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee; gave opinions on the plan for recruiting civil servants of the Party, mass organizations and government in 2023; listened to the report on the Plan to vote for confidence in the members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, term XV, 2020 - 2025 .
