31 leaders expected to receive vote of confidence from Ho Chi Minh City People's Council

Tomorrow morning (December 6), the 13th session of the 10th Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, term 2021-2026, will open and last for 3 days.

One of the important contents of the meeting is to take a vote of confidence for the person holding the position elected by the City People's Council for the 2021-2026 term according to the provisions of Resolution 96 of the National Assembly. This Resolution stipulates that the People's Councils at the provincial and district levels organize a vote of confidence once per term at the meeting at the end of the third year of the term.

It is expected that the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council will vote on 31 personnel at this session.

The vote of confidence aims to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the People's Council's supervisory activities; improve the quality and efficiency of the state apparatus.

This also contributes to assessing the prestige and performance of the tasks and powers assigned to the person who is voted for, and helps them see their level of trust so that they can continue to strive, practice, and improve the quality and efficiency of their work. This is also the basis for competent agencies and organizations to consider planning, training, fostering, arranging, and using cadres.
