By recreating the ancient living space of the land and people of Tay Do (another name for Ho Dynasty Citadel), displaying outdoor models of artifacts, and especially models of Ho Dynasty cannons in the premises of the Ho Dynasty Citadel World Heritage Site, this heritage has been helping to attract tourists.
Among the new tourism products, the Ho Dynasty cannon display model attracts special curiosity and interest. This model has been deployed by the Ho Dynasty Citadel Heritage Conservation Center since early 2023, with 4 cannons.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen (44 years old, living in Thanh Hoa City), a tourist visiting Ho Dynasty Citadel, shared: "Visiting Ho Dynasty Citadel now is no longer as boring as before, just visiting the stone walls, the artifacts displayed indoors, but now there are many outdoor spaces with many artifacts such as stone bullets, bricks, cannon models... helping me understand more about the Ho Dynasty. Previously, I visited Ho Dynasty Citadel, this time coming back with friends, I found many new and more attractive points."
According to information from the Ho Dynasty Citadel Heritage Conservation Center, in 2023, the number of tourists visiting the Ho Dynasty Citadel increased dramatically, the highest since the relic was recognized as a world heritage (in 2011). Specifically, in 2023, the total number of visitors reached 250,700, equal to 167% of the assigned plan, reaching 125% compared to 2022.
The model of a cannon from the Ho Dynasty is attracting tourists to visit.
Mr. Nguyen Ba Linh, Director of the Ho Dynasty Citadel Heritage Conservation Center, said: "To form a unique tourism service complex in Ho Dynasty Citadel, recently we have put into operation and displayed the "Western Capital agricultural cultural space" to introduce traditional farming tools and the simple life of farmers. Or the model of displaying cannons, stone bullets outdoors... are also highlights to develop tourism in the heritage space".
Mr. Linh also said that in parallel with the preservation and promotion of heritage values, the results of archaeological excavations of the Royal Palace, the area inside and outside the 4 gates of the citadel... have contributed to further demonstrating the outstanding global value of the Ho Dynasty Citadel. At the same time, there is more basis and motivation to move towards building more new tourism products, such as the model of a stone gun, restoring the Nam Giao ceremony of the Ho Dynasty...
The Ho Dynasty Citadel Heritage Conservation Center is currently organizing 4 routes and sightseeing spots by electric car service, including: Ho Dynasty Citadel route - to the heritage area; Ho Dynasty Citadel route - and traditional villages; Ho Dynasty Citadel route - buffer zone spirituality; Ho Dynasty Citadel route - relics and landscapes of the buffer zone.
