The Center said that the heat wave in the Southeast region increased on April 5, with the temperature at 1 p.m. generally reaching 35 degrees Celsius and humidity only 45-55%. It is forecasted that on April 6 and 7, the heat wave in the South and Central Highlands will continue, with the highest temperature ranging from 35-36 degrees Celsius, in some places exceeding 36 degrees Celsius. The heat wave will last from 12-15 hours each day. The epicenter of the heat wave is the Southeast region.
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that the heat wave in the South and Central Highlands could last until around April 10. The actual outdoor temperature in urban areas such as Ho Chi Minh City could be 2-4 degrees Celsius higher than forecast, especially in areas with dense concrete and heat-absorbing asphalt.
Meanwhile, the North and North Central regions have experienced a light cold spell causing widespread drizzle and showers. The Northwest region has seen heavy rain, with some areas experiencing over 50mm of rain. The rain is forecast to last throughout the holiday, affecting outdoor activities.
The cause is due to the combination of light cold air and high altitude wind convergence. Localities such as Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Lao Cai... may experience heavy rain, beware of hail.
In Phu Tho, where the main activities of offering incense to the Hung Kings take place, rain will continue, temperatures will fluctuate between 20-25 degrees Celsius, and humidity will be high, potentially affecting outdoor festivals.
The Central and South Central regions have more stable weather, with sunshine during the day and only scattered showers in the evening and at night./.
