Quang Ninh Lung Hospital Upgrade Project: Accelerating to the Finish Line

With the goal of improving the capacity to treat occupational diseases related to the lungs and building Quang Ninh into a national and regional lung specialist center, in October 2022, the province invested in upgrading and expanding the Lung Hospital. To date, after 8 months of construction, the project has completed about 80% of the total workload and is expected to be put into operation in October 2023.

Quang Ninh Lung Hospital was expanded from 2.52ha to 3.86ha, on the basis of maintaining the current status of existing works; repairing and upgrading degraded works and building some new works, ensuring synchronous facilities, increasing the scale of hospital beds from 200 to 330 beds.

The newly built 11-storey technical, professional, treatment and nutrition block is currently entering the completion stage.

Contractors are focusing on installing equipment, tiling and interior construction according to the design, expected to be completed in August 2023.

The lake renovation project has been completed.

The newly built 5-storey public office block has completed the rough construction and is entering the finishing stage.

The system of stairs and paths connecting new and renovated buildings is being completed to facilitate seamless, overall connectivity.

As for the 2-storey infection control department building, due to the delay in site clearance, the foundation has only been completed so far. The contractor is focusing on speeding up the progress, determined to complete all items in October 2023 to put it into operation soon and promote the effectiveness after investment.
