According to SCB’s latest online interest rate schedule, the 6-11 month and 15-36 month terms are currently 6.35%/year. Meanwhile, the 12-13 month term is 6.45%/year after a 0.5 percentage point reduction.
Similarly, after lowering the interest rate, GPBank only maintains 6.15%/year for a 6-month term. The interest rate for a 7-8 month term is 6.2%/year, for a 9-month term is 6.25%/year and for a 12-month term is 6.35%/year. The interest rate for a 13-36 month term is 6.45%/year.
Today, HDBank reduced interest rates by 0.2 percentage points for terms from 6 to 36 months. Interest rates for 6-month terms are now 6.6%/year, for 7-11-month terms are now 6.7%/year, and for 12-month and 18-month terms are now 6.8%/year.
Currently, the highest interest rate at HDBank for a 13-month term is still 7%/year.
Similarly, SHB reduced interest rates by 0.2 percentage points for terms of 6-11 months and by 0.1 percentage points for terms of 12 months or more. Specifically, interest rates for terms of 6-8 months are now 6.5%/year, terms of 9-11 months are now 6.6%/year and terms of 12 months or more are now 6.8%/year.
LPBank reduced deposit interest rates by 0.1 - 0.2 percentage points for deposit terms from 1 - 60 months. Accordingly, interest rates for 1 - 3 month terms are now 4.35%/year, and for 4 - 5 month terms are now 4.55%/year.
Interest rates for 6-11 month terms also decreased to 6.3%/year, 12-month terms to 6.4%/year, 15-16 month terms to 6.6%/year and 18-60 month terms to 6.8%/year.
TPBank continues to reduce interest rates for 6-12 month terms by 0.2 percentage points. Interest rates for 6-month and 12-month terms are now 6% and 6.2% per year, respectively. Meanwhile, interest rates for 18-60 month terms are down 0.1 percentage points to 6.6% per year.
After a series of banks reduced their deposit interest rates, only a few banks are maintaining interest rates of 7-7.3% for some terms, including: BaoViet Bank, ABBank, PVCombank, NCB, CB, VietA Bank, and KLB.
According to statistics from the beginning of August until now, banks that have reduced deposit interest rates include: TPBank, ACB, Eximbank, Techcombank, NCB, VietBank, ABBank, OceanBank, HDBank, Sacombank, VIB, VPBank, MSB, BacA Bank, Saigonbank, CBBank, VietA Bank, SHB, OCB, BaoViet Bank, BVBank, GPBank, MB, SeABank, VietA Bank, SCB.
Of which, Sacombank, BacA Bank, Saigonbank, GPBank, TPBank, SHB, HDBank have reduced interest rates twice since the beginning of August. NCB, Techcombank, VietBank, VIB have reduced interest rates three times since the beginning of the month, while ACB and Eximbank have reduced interest rates four times.
