SSIAM "joins hands" with VPBankS to exploit open-end fund products in Vietnam

Open-end fund products become attractive and attract investors because of their outstanding investment performance, bringing financial efficiency.

With this cooperation, customers of Vietnam Prosperity Joint Stock Commercial Bank (VPB) and VPBankS can easily trade SSIAM's open-end fund certificates and bonds via VPBankS' NEO Invest trading platform. Including SSI Sustainable Competitive Advantage Investment Fund (SSI-SCA), Vietnam Long-term Growth Fund (VLGF), and SSI Bond Investment Fund (SSIBF).

Currently, the demand for investing in open-end fund certificates in Vietnam is increasing rapidly. According to McKinsey's forecast, by 2027, Vietnam will become a personal financial advisory market worth about 600 billion USD, growing at 11%/year and is one of the two most developed asset management markets in the region, besides Thailand.

As of the end of September 2024, Vietnam Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation (VSDC) recorded 1,620,336 open-end fund trading accounts, an increase of 26% compared to the end of 2023.

Although many Vietnamese individual investors still maintain the trend of accumulating assets through savings or self-investment, with the convenience of trading open-end fund certificates, the level of understanding and information about the product is increasingly popular, causing the number of investors participating in this professionally managed product to grow quite rapidly.

In particular, in the context of the Vietnamese market lacking profitable investment channels, open-end fund products become attractive and attract investors due to their outstanding investment performance.

For stock funds, in the first 11 months of 2024, SSI-SCA and VLGF funds grew by 30% and 26% respectively, far exceeding the 11% growth of VNIndex. For SSIBF short-term bond fund, the investment yield for a 3-month term is 5.0%/year, surpassing the interest rate of bank deposits of the same term, becoming an attractive address for customers' short-term capital flows.

SSIAM and VPBankS not only help investors easily access quality open-end fund products but also provide safe and effective financial solutions through the platform.
