Farmers harvest broken and fallen rice fields.

Taking advantage of the sunny weather, the people of Ban Pau village gathered in the fields to save the rice after the days of rain and flood. The broken and fallen rice fields were rebuilt. Some areas that could be harvested were collected by families, recouping some of the efforts they had put in. On the areas buried by soil and sand, many families will renovate them to prepare for the new crop.

Ms. Hoang Thi Tim, Ban Pau village, Duong Quy commune, Van Ban district shared: "The rice has all fallen and sprouted, so people take advantage of the sunny weather to harvest whatever grain they can find. After harvesting, we plan to clear it to plant corn and sweet potatoes."

Reclaim the land for new vegetable production.

After the rain and flood, the safe vegetable area of ​​more than 20 hectares in Quyet Tam village now only has mud, soil and trash left. Under the guidance of the Farmers' Association and professional staff, in recent days, farmers have focused on improving the land and urgently started producing the new vegetable crop.

Mr. Tran Huu Phuong, Quyet Tam village, Thai Nien commune, Bao Thang district said: "My family lost several hundred mature custard apple trees, 3 sao of corn, 8 sao of forest trees, spinach planted under the custard apple trees and 2 sao of rice. We were also guided by the staff to improve the land and plant properly."

After the circulation of storm No. 3, the whole province had 546 hectares of rice damaged. Over 6,500 hectares of corn, crops, annual and perennial crops, fruit trees, industrial crops, medicinal plants, and aquatic products were affected. In addition, over 43,000 livestock and poultry died; more than 1,000 barns and farms were damaged... In order to promptly restore production, the Farmers' Association at all levels actively called on and mobilized organizations and individuals nationwide to support people in disaster-hit areas with essential necessities to stabilize their lives. Timely statistics and understanding of the need for seeds, materials, fertilizers, and crops in localities, timely support for people to restore production.

Support plant varieties to help people restore production soon.

Mr. Bui Quang Hung, Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association emphasized: "We also actively mobilize organizations, individuals, and philanthropists at the Central Association, units inside and outside the province to support people with essential necessities. Next, we will provide production materials, plant varieties, livestock, and fertilizers to promptly support farmers to restore production as soon as the storm ends."

With the active participation of functional sectors and Party committees and authorities at all levels, the Provincial Farmers' Association is guiding businesses, cooperatives, cooperative groups, and farmer groups with similar interests to improve and restore land, and convert suitable crops and livestock. Accompanying and supporting members in a timely manner with plant varieties, livestock, materials, and labor tools. At the same time, creating conditions for farmer members to access and borrow preferential loans to speed up the process of restoring production and stabilizing life.
