Within the framework of the working program in Yen Mo district, on the morning of January 16, Provincial Party Secretary Doan Minh Huan and the working delegation inspected a number of economic development models and projects in the district.
Provincial Party Secretary Doan Minh Huan and the delegation visited the high-tech agricultural production model of Mr. Tong Viet Vinh's family in Hamlet 4, Mai Son Commune.
With the support of the district, in June 2022, Mr. Tong Viet Vinh invested in installing 2 greenhouses, with an energy-saving irrigation system and planted high-value plants such as: melons, Korean melons, bell peppers, baby cucumbers... After nearly 2 years of implementation, the model has brought high economic efficiency.
Currently, the family has expanded the area of greenhouses and the water-saving irrigation system to 5,000 m2. In 2023, the family's Quang Vinh melon product will be recognized as a 3-star OCOP product at the district level.
Along with investing in installing greenhouses and an energy-saving irrigation system, Mr. Tong Viet Vinh also bid to expand the cultivated area. Currently, the family's total cultivated land area is about 5 hectares and is produced in an organic direction.
In 2019, the family's production model was granted a VietGap safe production certificate. It is estimated that the annual revenue is from 1.1 to 1.2 billion VND (for 1,000 m2 of greenhouse, the annual revenue is about 270 to 330 million VND/year). The model has created jobs for 8-10 regular workers with an income of 4.5 to 5.5 million VND/person/month.
Next, the delegation inspected a number of projects that Yen Mo district is researching and proposing investment in, such as: Road project combined with upgrading Yen Thang lake dike; the route from Khanh Hoa intersection through Ninh Binh - Hai Phong expressway intersection in Yen Mo district and visited Than Phu gate (Yen Lam commune).
The implementation of projects aims to overcome difficulties in urban space and create land funds to attract investment, create economic resources for the district, and contribute to exploiting the potential for local tourism development.
